[Vehicle] VN3 - PLA

This is my first model, it's suppose to be the VN3 multi-purpose vehicle. Don't know if anyone could tell or not
As you can see I've gotten the basic vehicle body finish, now I need to make the turret, the wheels and add some more geometric detail.
I've got a few quick questions:
1. How do you add glass?
2. Will the model have conflict with BF2 editor if I have a mirrored model (I modeled half and mirrored it)
3. do you have to animate the wheels and turrets to get it working in game?
Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated

Very nice man. I wouldnt mind seeing this in PR to add some new stuff to the Chinese.
EDIT: and, btw, according to the pic you posted it does seem a little long.

Shortened midsection, should look more proportional now

Thanks for the feedback.
Don't want to "Jinx" or "Curse" myself but if I ever finish this with fair quality, this would be a good replacement for the Nanjing, especially if the US/CF/GB factions get their CROWS.
The VN3 is amphibious and has a max passenger capacity (Turret version) of six. It is armed with the QJG02 14.5mm machine gun and a 7.62mm coaxial. It is impervious to small arms but does not mix well with rockets.

I know what you can do! Turn the Canadian Forces G-wagon into one of these:
And good job on the model!

Yea, the model is done. It's been done for a long while, but it's funny that you ask, cause I almost lost the model and everything else for that matter on my notebook when an update went terribly wrong and Windows Vista wouldn't start up. Worst part was that I had transferred all them files from desktop to laptop in hopes of keeping them safe while I really put them in a greater risk.
Anyhow I managed to restore what was wrong and save everything. Backed up all the files in a USB key and in my new notebook, will post updates probably tomorrow before heading into skinning that beast once and for all.
Anyhow it’s fine that you modeled the VN3, guess I can always model a USS Nimitz.

Cheeseman, if you want to model something, I suggest you model the ZTZ-99 (Chinese Type 99 Tank)
ZTZ99 (Type 99) Main Battle Tank - SinoDefence.com
So we can get rid of that crappy Type 98 that was never really used.

Very nice progress! Soon we'll have the PLA and MEC up to scratch to take on those damn westerners!
Cheese: Oh man if you did that, it'll be quite the smex.

Nice to see some new Chinese models. Now we need the ZTZ-99, type 07 camoflauge, a proper Chinese sniper rifle (JS 7.62) and a replacements for the SA-7 and M67 (that's all I can think about now).

Thanks Guys,
Finished the vehicle body with wheels and geometric detail, the rest should be taken care of with textures. Next: Turret
Pictures of the vehicle at its current stage:
I have no idea what comes after modeling, I think skinning

it comes the best and most rewarding part of it : UVMAPING!!!
also , maybe you may want to use the "make planar" tool in some polys like the side of the car ,etc
