Random Insurgent weapons

Ok well I’m new to the forum. Not to the game. I know there has been tons of post's about what kind of weapons people would like to see in future mods & editions.

I mostly game on the Insurgency boards.

I was wonder what people would think of a random weapon generation for all insurgency Unlimited Spawn Kits? Maybe except for the Cell leader? Being your one of the top men in your group your going to get the good stuff of course.

I’m speaking of something like. You might end up with an SKS, or an AK-47 in any kit, or to be “more” realistic with the vast amounts of odd weaponry in the middle east, and the fact that many western countries have tried to colonize the middle east. There could be in game and as in real life a large amount of random/older weapons that you could end up with. For instance weapons found in Iraq & Afghanistan have been.

British Sten-guns!

Russian PPSH (like in the milita board)

Older bolt action rifles with iron sites. As mentioned before Lee-Enfields, Mausers, Mosin Nagants or all models.

And if you want to be really daring, and or crazy older British weapons. Martini Enfields etc etc..

Thank you for your time!

Eh up Mr.B, Welcome to the forums.

The addition of more random weapons for the insurgents has been suggested a few times before, although some of the weapons you're thinking of may not have been mentioned.

I think its a valid idea but I'd rather see more random weapons as "pick up" kits. If you choose an unlimited kit, you should get the rifle that currently comes with it as these (AK/SKS's) are weapons more commonly seen on the battlefield.

good point, insurgents and militia that dont have money to burn generally do have mixed weapon caches and no to will be the same quality, maybe an introduction of random kits each spawn for everyone below cell leader?

Locked for resuggestion.

Adding weapons for the sake of adding weapons adds little to the gameplay and takes resouces away from other things. Perhaps adding some of the weapons that are already ingame may be possible, but I wouldn't expect anything on a massive scale very soon.
