Was just wondering if anyone know how the system works when the sq-leader leaves the squad... Who is next in line to be the sqadleader and why does it always circulate around the two same people that logs in and out, attempting to avoid be the sq-leader.

I think it should just go to the next in line so we don't have the problem; that the two guys that are being selected all the time are dropping the squad interely, and thereby ruining a whole squad, because they don't want to be the squadleder.

-It's probably score based or time based.

I thought it always went to the person second down in the list of squadmembers seen when pressing capslock.

Ah, didn't realise this. Thought I'd noticed the pattern, this explains the reasoning for it.

Weird, but the number of times I'll join an existing squad, and three seconds later find myself squad leader... Always without an officer kit too...

Frustrating to say the least.

it goes alphabetically by your name

can this be changed in any way? I'm pretty sure it's hard coded right?

No it's not, the player with the highest score will become the next squad leader.

Hehe, if it was alphabetical I imagine that the number of names beginning with Z would increase 100 fold overnight.

Yeah that's the most frustating part of it all. Not having a officer kit when you're 600 meters to nearest request point.

hmm...

Is it possible to modify the Squad Screen at all? I know you can't add more squads, but can you mess with cosmetics? Highlight the next person in line or something?

If not... oh well. My solution: Say "OK, I'll lead, I'll make a new squad and invite you all over"

From what I've seen, it's just who's next on the Squad list. The question is: How is THAT determined?
