The =TCC= Clan would like to invite everyone for a night of PR .5 fun roughly. Right now it is planned as a one night event, but possibly could be held a few times if there is the demand.

Installation:
Just download extract the zipped file to you desktop and name it pr05 (instead of pr) then drag it to your bf2 mods folder, next go to your bf2.exe and right click it and select sent to desktop, create shortcut. Then right click on the shortcut and select properties edit the target line to say:
"C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +modPath mods/pr05 (if this is your default bf2 directory name)

sounds good, and I liked the Xtract mod a lot

A lot of people had login problems yesterday, I think it had something to do with EA.

It's just EA master server regularly messing up I think.

I'm looking forward to the extraction mode. I've played it only several times but enjoyed it a lot. I hope I can manage to find some time for it when it comes .

Get the black van from Point A, through Point B (Not on all maps) to Point C. Or the pilot kit, depending.

Extraction maps:

Al Basrah:
Transport the VIP car from palace (now ins main) through VCP to airport
If the truck gets destroyed it respawns back where it was, VCP waypoint is reseted and USMC gets 60 tickets penalty.

Street:
A player has to pick-up a pilot kit, then he becomes the VIP and mustn't get killed.
He has to get back to the initial GB spawn.

Now version 506/509 has suppression!

WR Pilot Kit: Its on the ground nd must be picked up. Generally speaking for maps such as Street:

Spawn at Point A

Fight to Point B
Pickup kit at Point B

Fight to Point A (If you die and kit isnt picked up by a teammate it respawns at Point B)

Get to Point A. You win.

Sweeeeeeet... I was never able to try 0.5.. From what I have heard, its pretty good.

On a sidenote, please dont play .5 Basrah AAS. Xtract is cool, but AAS will create a halflife for your server population of about 15 minutes because no one in their right mind will play INS.

Prepare to get disappointed.. .

Oh well, that's just my opinion . Way too arcade, more run&gun, more vanilla-ish, sounds are not as good as they are now, same with graphics, view distance, etc.. It just has less PR goodness .

After, your right. It was very vBF2 form now. And once again all you guys that never played 0.5 before now donlt say (I have been playing PR since 0.5) And guys vipers right, 0.5 Basrah AAS was ok but bad in some parts.

I dont miss 0.5 enough to install it apart from maybe steel thunder
