CSB? not just a boat...

Evening all.
So there's been suggestions about stealth boats, battle ships, attack vessels, more boats and there are discussions still open about boats. I have searched, I know this.
Most threads regarding boats are closed because of map suitability or game-engine limitations, the time taken to model blah di blah..
O.k. so there's some new maps coming out in the future, that might have the need for improved aquatic conveyance. When, where and for what purpose would Combat Support Boat's be deployed?
This, I think, is a British example. I also assume, that is an optional windscreen/hardtop in the second pic.
If there is a need for transport such as this and nobody is modeling such crafts, I'd like to give it a go...
