-once in driver position, leave the squad. The game will tell you you cannot operate the position. Switch to the back seats, then exit the BMP
-upon exit the BMP gets thrown into the air, then drives on by itself.
Notes: the BMP does not make any engine sounds, but it moves at a regular speed as if it was driven - like a ghost :O
I had some fun with it and you can bump the BMP to change direction with another vehicle.
If it gets stuck somewhere, it's threads will keep on going despite not being able to move.
And if you destroy it, the wreck still moves on @.@, although I cannot confirm this 100% as when I destroyed it it was stuck up against a wall, but the threads still kept moving.

Rotfl, it's a perfect unmanned not-remoted uncontrolled vehicle

What happens to a vehicle that goes way beyond the boundaries of a map. Does it eventually hit the edge of the physical plain and fall through the world getting destroyed? Or does it hit a wall and continue forever hitting it hence the vehicle never respawns and no one can get to it. If this can happen with a tank that would be a hugely valuable asset lost forever. I want to say that HP gets taken away from vehicles like they do infantry when they go out of bounds but I don't know for sure.

AHAHA,That's funny...hope it gets fixed though,lol.
I can confirm that the wreck does keep on moving, I witnessed a BMP3 getting destroyed on Kufrah and the wreck kept moving in circles until the round ended.
