Question: Lazing targets

Hi guys i have a quick question. I was just playing a round with an attack chopper crew where i worked deep behind enemy lines trying to laze out tanks. But apparently i cant laze any moving targets, i can only laze stationary targets, and once its lazed it will follow the targets. Is this true, or am i doing something wrong?

Also, i managed to laze the eurofighter as well just before it took off, if he went airborne, and my chopper would have fired, that missile would have tracked him and killed him right? (BTW: the chopper never made there in time to fire away, the eurofighter took off, and took the lazer marker with him... :( )

yes, right now in pr, the soflam shoots a projetile with a laser target on it, this projectile then flys to where you were pointing at 200m/sec, then when it hits something it will stick to it for the remaning amount of time that it has to live.

Why not at 3×10^8 m/s or at least something a little faster?

Too fast and the laser projectile will bounce off the target, not sticking.

Try playing AIX mod, and using the nighthawk stealth fighter. You can lase your own targets for bombs, except in my opinion it looks like the laser shoots out incredibly fast. And it sticks. ;)

Can we not have it spawn where you point? A bit like attack markers.

Or instead of a bullet impact, the laser projectile pops up.

would this be even possible?

stick to the ground perhaps, but does it stick to vehicles?
It also might look like it goes really fast because of the short view distance most AIX maps have.

Zangoo did that, (the laser target spawned on the attack marker) and also attached the laser target to the hit effect of the laser projectile, so that it spawned once it hit.
but neither of these worked on a dedicated server.

30 seconds. I verified this by looking at the manual.

Is the marker currently guidable?
