Sorry

Since some smacktard decided to delete my tester access I'm posting here.
The reason I haven't been sending pictures from Afghanistan is two fold. First, there was some new general orders posted, which basically forbid us from taking pictures of anything but a blank wall. So all those high res pictures I promised....yeah not so much
Second, I've landed the job I wanted, which is more or less providing security for 'civilian' type peoples working with the locals in the area. Long story short I use non-standard weaponry in non-standard vehicles I sure as hell can't take pictures of, and wont ever exist in PR. Sorry.
I'll still be around to answer PM's about any questions you have for military tech/tactics/etc. When I get back I should be able to post whatever pictures I have.

The testers where all renewed so that we have only active testers who are testing, you cant test if you are in Afghanistan?
Sounds cool, would have been nice to get some cool pics but no worries.

Well I guess the Devs can always use some more high rez textures for their walls ?
I can already imagine all the players stopping to look at the realistic new walls they'll be having. Even some actually humping them ...
Stay safe.

Everyone jokes about it, but i go to sea for 3 month trips without internet, so in the same boat as some of the forces, and the rest of the world presumes we can go on the internet and be active if we want to all year around.
I'm sure he wants to test still and be active, just only the 6 months of the year, which is still a lot, that he's back home.
Support our forces!

And when he comes back he'll be given access back pretty much instantly I should imagine. But for our sake it's easier to only have people on the testing roster who are actually able to turn up to each session right now
Keep yourself safe Kenwayy, and I look forward to the high defintion walls

(seriously, some more interesting building textures would actually be quite good... )

Wait a second, did Kenwayy just actually apologize for something?

He apologised that he can't take photos of top secret stuff, although it's kinda sounding like, "Sorry guys, but i can't show you the cool stuff I now have at work!!!! Wouldn't trade this for sitting behind a desk any day!" Hehe.

I have internet access quasi regularly, but certainly not fast enough to play. Get about 140 kbps give or take when I get on, the 'civilian' internet is slower here, roughly about 100kbps. The lovely part is that the PX (store) here at Bagram (which by the way is a pimp *** place to work out of) sells like 2 computer games. Some music match **** and, ready for it, World of Warcraft. Cause MMO's are so much fun at 100 kbps.

Don't worry Spiffy, when you finally drag your *** back across the pond you can be certain that I'll be putting you to work after your vacation. As for your new friends with the shiny shoes get them to hook you up with some in-flight specials... ;}
