Well the title says it all. I dont see why we wouldnt have the Huey on kashan desert. If you guys fix the problems with its landing(its a bit springy) by .8 everyone would enjoy that. I would look at the black hawk of cow(MI-8 i think) for how the landing should work.

Kashan is destined for the US army isn't it? I.E. Black hawks not hueys?

Well if thats the case then of course leave the black hawks there. But they would have to be black not the navy gray **** we have now.

more or less so.

At the moment, in v0.75 and before, the "USMC" team is really more the "US Armed forces", in v0.8 the USMC will be split into the USMC and the US Army. Kashan will be a US Army map (90% chance of it anyways, I doubt we are going to change our minds there ) and at the moment in v0.75 Kashan is just more the US army part of the "US Armed Forces".

So all in all, there wont be a huey on kashan any time soon.

Yes of course but they are for the Israeli faction, not the US Army.

Would be cool to make all the american troops in PR some sort of specialist regiments, so we get to see more specialised stuff then the standard US vehicles we see in every other game, we already have the Huey & Little Bird which is seriously cool. So like say Kashan would be USMC supported by Delta Force, or some such.

How about we see one of these in the bottom compartment of the carriers...


Correct me if i'm wrong, i've seen those amphibious craft patroling very far inland in the cities of Iraq.

Maybe for the USMC & British also use anti-IED vehicles instead of trucks for commanders & squad transport; not sure what happened to the British Saxon.

Saxon is being phased out IIRC, the viking is doing the job now, but actuated vehicles arent supported by the BF2 engine. The jackalis a cool vehicle, but they are only just trying them out on a larger scale.

Well the Viking is only used by the Royal Marines, who, IIRC, didn't use the Saxon anyway (that was for the Army's Mechanized infantry, IIRC). The Saxon is really being suceeded by the Mastiff and the new FV432 Mk.III "Bulldog".

All of those will be in game for the Army. We already have the AH-64 and the chinook is being worked on by icekiller(someone get this guy a link ). The M3A2(WTF is a M2A5??) Bradley will hopefully be in game eventually.

True but in all fairness they still need a darn reskin, the Navy version is much more like what the Huey is in PR. Plus it's under a different name: IE SeaHawk, and has different landing gear as well as the probe for long distance in flight refule is not on any of our choppers like it is in real life. I know it looks dumb in game but we have all the slats, and side doors, as well as the dinky little IR stuff on the British vehicles, as well as the RPG protection armor so why not slap the darn thing on?

Even BlackHawks have these now due to the fact it's easyer to make them all with it, then not too, and it means they can go longer distances without the need for them to stop and land a grab some fuel, or ditch the chopper.

IMHO I would like all the BF2 models for vehicles replaced. The LAV-25 is so low poly it's not even funny, and the M1A2 SEP looks like **** compaired to the British Challanger 2, and their IFVs. Another thing is the darn T-90 could use some enhancements as well in the model department. It looks cheap to only make new high detail models for the new stuff and let the old stand out like a sore thumb.

Bulldog looks seriously sweet, one of those would be good for commanders truck in Al Basrah. This one even has the new design top secret British armour (uses electrical currents or something?!)

The M4 is gonna suck there because it lacks range. Hope some on the US Army side get M16's.

He means the M2A3 Bradley IFV. You're thinking of the less-used M3A3 Bradley CFV, the CavScout version. THe M2A3 would in all likelihood would be the version used if the Bradley makes an appearance. Rumor on the street has it that the Stryker will be the main APC, although hopefully they just modify the Linebacker to become a M2A3.

Bob we were discussing this, i reckon when you say to noobs, no Pron on dual screen, you have weapons manuals and army websites, cos you have WAAY too much knowledge on EVERYTHING to do with the army...
