Revert to original flight controls

Now i've attempted to fly choppers many times in PR and have noticed that i cannot control Yaw seperatly from Roll. this is a big issue for people because IRL you have foot pedals for yaw and the stick for rolls and pitch.

one reason i have for this idea is it has become harder to fly between trees. back in the original BF2/1942desert combat, i'd be able to fly litteraly between trees to touch down in a small patch of open area (very small)

reason number 2 as this has been mentioned elsewhere when you get locked onto by an AAV with a chopper it is very hard to evade even after using flares. now IRL pilots can change pitch and yaw to make their choppers do a half turn sort of maneuver. i used to do this in 1942 DC and manage to dodge many Grail missiles. increase throttle, pitch up, yaw to port. its a pretty standard maneuver that i can no longer pull off in game

You can use the A and D keys for yaw. I don't have any problems they seem to turn pretty good.

Even I can do that in PR, and im sure there is a lot of other ppl here that can do it (alex, nickbond, mongol) you just need to do it a lot till you get good at it.

The Yaw does work. But not at high speeds. (Sorta like IRL) =) Unless it's a Cayuse.

Exactly, yaw does not work when you are flying fast. When you want to turn just roll to the right or left a little.

ok well then in that case please remove this post, for somereason my Yaw input doesnt work it seems for me anyways.

now one question though why wouldnt yaw work at a higher speed? thats how turning works in all aircraft is roll and yaw and pitch input not just roll and pitch

The rudder doesnt work at higher speeds

I do hate how the tail rotor/rudder doesn't work at anything above medium speed. I am used to it now, but as mora knows sometimes I do seem to do strange flips in the air when I am desperately trying to manuever with my tail rotor. :D

No, the controls are better the current way. the old way sucked, too much spiraling and orbiting, wasnt realistic. every gunship moved like a littlbird which is wrong. no no no..........no no no no no no.

Nickbond, you left out the part where you crash into the typhoons. :)
Cool vid, like the way you meshed the outside view into a weird window frame effect to show the cockpit, thats beast.
