Sounds pretty nice. But don´t you think it is a little hard to find one single man? Just imagine his role he can just find a really good place to hide and then what?... go out to eat maybe until the round is over.

Ah yeah and another problem is that you have to force someone to be commander if nobody does it.
Just imagine a smacktard beeing the commander he might just run right into enemy territory and ruin the whole game all by himself.

I like the idea but I don´t think that it´s possible with the human stupidity :-D

Kinda the anti-extraction mode :D

There would have to be somthing in place to ensure that the commander, or whatever target we would use would do more than sit there since the player is afk getting a sandwich since all he gets to do is hide. I'm not sure if the map coding would accommodate a moving person like a cache location.

An extraction map where militia need to extract their commander would be better. Commander spawn at the main bunkers (middle of map) with some troops, more troops spawn west of the map with vehicles and the British spawn east of the map. You need to get to the commander (or wait for the commander to get to you) to win. Would be cool.

I have pushed this idea in the past but it never came to be...

A nice alternative to having the commander be the game objective...is having the militia commanders death cause a huge ticket loss (perhaps half) so that the commander becomes a very important secondary objective for Specops squads as well as forcing the miltia to ensure that their commander stays in good health..

might be ideal for a big city map (hm...are there any..?? :wink :)

There could be several kits.... and when you grab the kit you get a sub machinegun or pistol, like a person would have for personal protection. And they look a bit different. They might have say, a barret and sunglasses like that one dude from CoD4. Or have a trench coat, like the other dude in CoD4(I don't play CoD4 and don't know their names, but I know their are Arab and Russian-ish guy).

Arab guys for the Insurgents(or maybe "Al Zarquai" type looking top target)
Russianesk guys for the (Russianesk)Militia

And they can only travel in(vehicles) the chevy SUV that was ingame in 0.5.
That would make it so the USMC/GBRA have to find several people, not all of them, just a couple. This would make it more interesting than 1 person, because the team is all over the map searching multiple targets in multiple locations. :wink:
vs.
1 guy, a whole team looking for 1 guy. :?

This would also solve the problem of 1 Dbag running towards the NATO forces and ruining the game, once a "top target"(player) is killed he cannot respawn for 5 minutes. Making him less prone to take the scenic road near the NATO bases.

Finally, arresting a "Top Target", the NATO team gets a bonus 100 tickets, or whatever, they get a bunch of bonus tickets, and the knifer gets a whole lot of points(200+ I suggest)

I believe that these suggestions are a good set of ideas on top of the Extraction mode idea.

Yeah it sounds pretty awsome.. But here's the thing: It'll end too fast.

Same idea, but maybe have the insurgents or w/e have like.. 400 tickets and the Brits on a ticket bleed, and every time the commander dies, they lose 50 tickets or more. 8 Commander kills and game set match!

Awsome idea, no doubt.

Behind Enemy Lines. Most of the map would be controlled by the opposing force, and a squad of people have to go and get/destroy specific items, and then get to a certain point on the map to win. Sorta like insurgency mode with the caches, but a lot more hostile =) (no safe zones)

Just a thought at 1030 tho..nothing more....

This sounds good.

Heres what i predict: A huge amount of players protecting the commander in one spot, and maybe at most 2 squads moving out at one time to search for raiding partys and creating ambush3s. (I'm not 100% but i have seen servers crash on non-crash maps when a high dencity of players fire smoke/rpgs/grenades etc. this has yet to be proven, but i have seen it happen about 6 or 7 times so its a factor.)

With such a dencity of tr0ops in an enclosed area/or out in the open, the battles could be furious! but they could also be short lived. do you propose the commander has only one life?

I'f we ever see our way to making an african campaign where nato forces are on peace-keeping missions this might be feasable, but it means texturing a huge amount of stuff (jungle trees/buildings/new faction ect) but i'm always hearing about at the end of a city siege the african king or general or whatever high-tails it out of there in a limo, and i think that would be a cool factor.
