Hi, I'm new here and it's about M249 SAW in PR 0.75. I see the M249 SAW RPM is 900 RPM. And I see in Wikipedia it's about 750 RPM.

Why it's set 900 RPM?

Fabrique National Herstal said the Rate of Fire is between 700 ( whit magazine i suppose ) to 1000 RPM, and i trust them alot more than Wiki... FNH is the manufacturer of M249...

the rpm depends on the position of the gas regulator you can see in front of the front sight just under the barrel

Very true, it also depends on the feeding system, ROF is faster when using the magazine IIRC as there is no delinking.

Also, due to limitations of the BF2 engine, we are restricted in the ROFs we can set weapons to. IIRC it has to be a factor or 1800, so it can't be set to 700 RPM, it either has to be 600 or 900.

lol me too...

we need to buy those licenses to repair that mess, i dont know if its a good idea but if we would have to pay for the future releases , we could have enought money if we count the donations to buy it.

Why doesn't EA/DICE at least acknowledge our existence or even bend the game's edit protection rules (e.g. editing DICE models) in our favor at our request?

As for the topic, Wiki is trustworthy as long as the reader is careful about deciphering the information. If Wiki says 900 RPM and FN Herstal says 700-1000 RPM, how is Wiki discredited in any way?

Hahahaha - You think they have some semblance of humanity left in that awful company? :D

You'll need a lot of cash to change their current opinion.
