I was sure it was posted time ago, but found none while searching...

so i've created this one.
It happens sometimes that the smoke of a damaged vehicle (tank, apc or helo) is visible to you even if there are obstacles between your visual and the vehicle, see the example image below:

That's not a bug, that is just how the game is made. If the smoke didn't do that, that would mean that each and every particle in the smoke would have to have it's own collision mesh, and that would create a lot of lag (AFAIK that's why, might be wrong).
Same principle as when you throw a smoke in a building and it goes through the walls.

No, he sees the smoke trough that floor, like having a wallhack. the APC is not under the floor, look at the screenshot. That happens with bit older GPUs to my understanding :/ But yeah, gives a big advantage if you can see enemy armour trough walls and floors

Might be a driver problem, in the early vbf2 days i had it with the choppers. When i was looking at a smoking chopper from the front you could see the smoke trough it. I think it is fixed now though.

Yeah, you got the right point of "noclip"

I've got a GeF 6600go 128MB, but now i can't remember if it effectively also happened in vBF2 (years ago...)

My video cards are fine, 2 X ATI HD3870 , and a smoking blackhawk landed on a Kashan Bunker roof and I saw smoke through the roof from the garage below.
