Hey there guys. Just redownloaded this mod after a long time. I've been playing BF2 for over a year and a half, but left it for other games and now I'm back. Just saying hey there, hoping to have many good times with this mod.



On a side note, I tried playing PR today, and everything is fine. I log in and everything, then when it starts to load a map to get on a server, it gets to about 4% loaded and then crashes to my desktop....I looked through a bunch of stuff and haven't found anything to help me. Maybe I didn't look hard enough but maybe you guys can help me? And yes, I do load directly from pr.exe...

did you definitely install the retail patch v1.41 and not v1.40 ? There is a dodgy download out there people are still able to get. When we remember which one, we'll be having words

Also, you need two files to play PR. We are at build v0.756 (if I remember correctly) and you need to install CORE and then LEVELS, installing a shortcut with each half you install. Then there might need to be some editing of the shortcut to suit your monitors resolution or if the path to PR.exe is wrong.

Yes, I'm sure I have 1.41, and I downloaded the mod and map pack 2 days ago, so I'm sure that I have it up to date. I'll look at my shortcut. Also, I have to have a shortcut for the maps portion I downloaded?

Are they all in the right place? Re-installing them both usually helps... (pain in the arse)

Ya I'm gonna try reinstalling right now.


Edit: Well i went to reinstall and it tells me my object_client or whatever the source file is corrupt. So I'ma have to reinstall BF2 again? Ya. That's gonna suck. Oh well.

You might have downloaded a corrupt file... :S

Ya, I downloaded it through Modjive which had a corrupt file. So I got it off the site here, and had no problems. Works like a charm now.
