Legit or exploit?

For the first time since i play PR (and i played the very first beta) this weekend i saw the US using their LBs as "bombers" with Engineers or Spec-Ops dropping C4 on bunkers and firebases.
Do you guys consider it a legit use of assets or a lame a** exploit?

Legit, because it isn't a bug or glitch with the game.

Rather unrealistiv I'd say though, but probably a damn good laugh :D

no exploit and nothing new.
i remember people sitting in the merlin, AL Basrah map on pr 0.6, when choppers were able to resupply. They were blowing all the bridges up constantly, making it impossible for the insurgents to win.
unrealistic, but at least it requires good teamwork and piloting.

Surely if you've played since the beginning you remember early scenario mode, the LB's were routinely used as bombers, and you still see them used as HAT platforms! (and even Kamikaze bombers - eh fuzz :D )

Its a legit tactic... mainly because its so easy to counter.. LBs are so weak, anything will take em down. And it takes some skill to achieve it, so i say fair play. Just jump in a .50cal and make mince meat of them. :)

Well, the simple answer to this is that the players haven't realised that LB's are viable manpads targets now and a team always needs at least one manpads on the go when fighting a map with LB's on it!

When a pilot and 'bombers' are getting blown out of the sky they'll soon grow bored of it! Up until that decision is made to change gaming practises they will get it easy.

It's perfectly legit, though it bears noting that, again, no real accuracy can be achieved unless they stand still. And that's just inviting small arms fire :) believe me, nothing's more satisfying than a whole squad blowing up an enemy helicopter after expending no more than a clip of rifle ammo each.

I remember (back in the day) being flown over Muttrah City with my M203 at hand while using the infinite resupply the LB had to fuel my aerial bombardment. Now that was an exploit!

Everybody says its easy to counter and not really effective, but so is 1 man tanking...
Waist of assets is frowned upon last time i read about it.
Anyways i think it's kind of lame, esp. shooting HAT from a chopper and throwing C4 out of the side also. Maybe it's fun but in case of the HAT shurely an exploit.

well more exploit is one AA rifleman one Anti tank one automatic rifleman + a medic to restore health if not badly wounded.

Its lame as hell, but I wouldnt classify as exploit. Just grab a MANPADS and spank em.

Like this? (skip to 50seconds)

Since this tactic requires a fantastic pilot as not for a LMG to kill everyone- its a fine tactic. EDIT- i'm refering to the C4 tactic, not the below vid :D

The HAT also has some backblast. I wont say its an exploit but its easier to do then it should be, the rocket kits should have a backblast that damages but they dont and that is why you are sucessfull.
Its unrealistic

The counter to this is to have a team that actually uses their AA properly which is not usually the case

also at the start of the game i almost always take some 1 to drop C4 on both south bridge and north bridge and blow them within first 2 mins
