This isn't vanilla ****ing BF2.

I never punish...
Well.. once i did it, when some idiot TK me in spawn few times...
I have learnt out players on my DoD server to punish..
How? I've started talking with them, asking, slaping and kicking...
We have started to have regular visitors and server become nice..
PRMM still gathers new players, idiots too... we must survive it.. somehow ;]

If some one does something realy stupid I'll punish... Like running me down after I ran for 5 minutes to get accross the map. No horn, no warning just bam, tk'd. Also snipers hitting friendlys get the one fingered punish.

It only happens when you've taken a long time to get somewhere undetected. Every time I swim across the pond in Fu She Pass I alway get shot in the back as I climb the shore on the other side

Some tks are accidental
Some you are in the wrong place at the wrong time
Some are intentional

I punish for 2 out of 3 usually.

Accidents are more often than not, careless mistakes that cannot be undone by sorry and even then most people dont even say sorry, but scream when you punish them.

Getting bombed by your own team when you are near an nme vehicle is wrong place wrong time - you die its your own fault.

Getting killed by someones nade, even if they did not mean to kill you is careless. - You get punished

Many things fall into careless. In real life you drive like a dumbass and break the law you get a ticket. I think the same applies in BF.

Its silly, and one of the most annoying parts of BF2.

I don't get punished much in PRMM (mainly because i haven't killed many of my team ) but in Vanilla today, i was a medic and saved this guy at least 3 times in a row. I then drove off to get the hell out of the spawn and he walked in front of the car and punished me... some people just don't care, do they.

I just love when I get punished for killing a teammate who happens to be camping a enemy base or spawn. Why because I feel justified when they are camping, and it does nothing to my score.

I usually try to BEST construction on it and NOT PUNISH - BUT - 2 days ago while playing as part of DEADMON's Squad it was a WEIRD ONE....I hopped into a Damaged Tank in the Spawn area and there was an Engineer in front of it Repairing it.....I thought, COOL, what nice Teamwork....he got it all repaired and I was trying to back away from him and get into the battle, BUT he was like "glued" to the front of the Tank......then I saw he or someone else had been laying mines in "our" exit area.....I could NOT get away from this Engineer to leave the area - then I BLEW UP! In more than one way! HE Blew me up - I guess - I chose NOT to forgive that one,,,tired of respawn TIME delays.......anyway,,,,,that PO'd him and he called for a VOTE to KICK me............first time.........for someone to try to KICK me like that......I have not played since then......too bad he did not have a headset so we could have communicated....would have liked to know what the H he was doing???

I LOVE this Mod.....but am checking out that Tactical Gamer Mod right now because, for ME.........maybe not U......an that's OK.......I prefer MATURE Teamwork type play with Communication etc...........could care less about STATS, just want to be a part of a COHESIVE Team. I'm an OLD Grunt and getting Gruntier (HeeHee)!

What about claymors? They are kind of a mixed blessing. They can be really good traps, or they could be the biggest pain in the a** for your teamates. Seems whenever I put one down a teamate gets killed by it. I try to put them in places where I hope my teamates wont go; guess im not good at that, but I would like to hear opinions on this cause I keep pissing people off.

I will only punish if it wasn't my fault. If I decide to sprint across the runway at the last second, and you hit my with the plane - my fault = no TK-Punish. Now, if you get pissed because I hopped in the helo and you C4 me - bet your *** I am punishing (if I knew where you lived, I would come over and kick you swuare in the jimmies!).

OT - But ANY mod that get's popular is going to attract some idiots. From what I have seen, the overwhelming majority of the people playing PR (and on these forums) are all "adults" and not little TK'ing kiddies...

Well as things are, if you happen to TK someone (for whatever reason) you are already punished by the -4 points.
So the fact of being able to punish the guy is realy there to punish people who deserve it -> intentionnal kills.
because if you punish just for the fact that you consider that the other guy should have made more attention, your missing the fact that maybe you yourself made a mistake (the number of times i've had people run in front of me while i'm in iron sight and shooting at the enemy's position )

and please remember this, you rarely know what killed you, the message saying XXXX killed XXXX with a XXXXX doesn't exist anymore.
so the guy you could think of having made the error wasn't in fact him , maybe it was the snipper far away who tried to gun down an enemy comming up your back...

You just can't know, so punishing losses its meaning. if everyone punishes for their own little reasons, (you always find a reason to vent of rather then telling yourself you made the mistake) what DO you do when a little *** is happly TKing people on his team on purpose ?

In the end I tend to never punish expect if i'm shure that it was deliberate ( guy kills you because you took HIS jeep/armor/heli/favorite mug )
and it should be keept strictly for that, rather then petty vengence.
