im curious to find out how everybody first came to hear about and then play PR, i would do a poll but they suck and there would be too many options.

Personnaly i saw the 0.6 release news on TBF2 and thought, hey this thing looks good

Jaymz, kenway and kinote dragged me over

Filefront, it made me get BF2.

I was ranting to my friend about vBF2's scripters, hackers & other annoyances, when he told me, that there is a mod where these kind of things does not exist. It's called Project Reality.

Natural selection. Got all of DICE releases, tested all of the mods, and PR is the best mod out to BF2.

When PR 1.0 is released..it´s going to be a big party.

A friend got me in to it after I had abandoned BF2 completely.

The first time I saw a video on youtube 0.5(?) and there was no way to live without it. But when I played it first first time, I realy sucked, don't know if there was an manual but I defently didn't read it. So I just deleted it from my hardrive and got on playing vBF2. One year later I read an article about it somewhere in a forum (don't know which it was, anymore) Well and there was also a link to the manual. First I thought, WTF!? A MANUAL FOR A GAME!?! I DONT EITHER READ THE MANUAL OF MY PC!!!!oneeleven!1!!1
Well, but I had to much time so I read it and understood, why it sucked so hardly the last time. I gave it I try and now I'm playing it all the time for a month and I have to say: Best BF2 Mod ever! =)

I got tired of playing BF2 and COD4, which was just alot of constant shooting, dying, etc. and very little, if any strategy. I ran across PR on File Planet's web site.

Looking for a BF2 file on Filefront, i think it was, and i saw this thing called project reality mini mod 0.2, the rest as they say is history.

I think like the OP, I saw a realease on TBF2.com I'm pretty sure it was .6 too, but I might be wrong, I have a bad memory.

Friends started to use Modjive and PR was on there. They told me about a realistic mod for BF2 i had a look and read the description liked what i read, downloaded it and every since ive been hooked. And i have to say i never really liked mods for BF2 until PR. That then made think lets give FH2 a go.

Started playing just when .6 came out.

BF2 Files, I liked the purdy SUV.

Interweb friend who I use to play with and spent time on some other forum, he went to BF2 then when I got it he tried convincing me to get PR v0.4. It looked promising until I played SP with bots to see how the combat looks like, got grenaded and went "WTF, 30 second spawn!!!11111 and unistalled immediately

Didn't take long to get me back to it though, after I got fed up with BF2s teamkillers, stat whores and "you just got pwN3d by M3g4sn1p3rp1l0tspecupz with uber-guns which he stat padded for 2 days to get"(while I needed a whole month to raise enough points for a tiny medic unlock) I got 0.5 and never gone back except a few times, when I had too much PR.
