I've been playing project reality for some time now and I was wondering why the sound of granade explosion is just the one from original BF2... Have the developers considered changing the sound?

But it should be an easy task. And could be quickly done.

There are other resources than to record it by yourself.

Still its a lot of work for something you already have.

if your suggesting ripped from videos that are say posted on youtube, the quality of the sound is jsut not good enough for the game,
also the sounds Devs are busy on other projects, which are higher on the list of priorities than a new sound for the grenades

I bet the CIA would launch an investigation in to it lol, lots of money moving to one man to buy hand grenades...sounds fishy yes?

I'd like a new grenade sound as well.

I'd just like grenades to stop being worthless.

I bet if you type in grenade sound effects or something like that, or even go to your local military base you'd get something

One thing I'd like to be changed in granade explosion sound is distance fade, as has been done to gunfire sound. Right now if someone throws a granade a mile away from you it still sounds as if it exploded right beside you, leading one to think their position is being attacked when it is not.

I may actually be able to help with this. I go running near Longmoor army camp, and they chuck grenades there all the time. Obviously I am not running right next to them, but they are close enough to make the ground shake a little. Interestingly my mile and a half times are significantly faster when they are lobbing grenades about! Next time I go I'll take a condenser and a minidisc recorder and see what I get.
