It should be, its only a model. I think we just need to replace another heli with it. So like Cobra the put apache in its spot.(Not sure though)

Do you mean in the private modding sense for LAN fun?

It is, but then it becomes a mod. (anything changes from vanilla is a mod)

And Im not too sure how EA would like you just adding a ton of stuff from their expansion into your own mod. PR is a different ballgame as they have consent for statics and such[as far as I understand]...
But, in the end, if its just gonna be for your own fun on a SP server or something, Im sure its not only A. possible, but B. ....fairly legal? If you own SF, that is....

Mike,
He's saying if you change "vanilla" Battlefield 2. Ie; adding the apache from SF to vanilla is consider a mod as it changes the game.

yeah i know how to do it and if its for personal fun then it should be alright. But what you need to do is tke the files from the Apache in special forces and put them into the BF2 files. these files are located in the "objects_server.zip" and the "objects_client.zip" you put the apache files from there into the corresponding place in the bf2 "objects_server.zip" and "objects_client.zip". I don't think the apache has any new minimap icon so that should be all the stuff you need. then you can open a map's gamplayobjects.con and replace the cobra with the name of the apache's file and you'll have it ingame. If it crashes, run in windowed mode and look for the file stated in the error and just transfer that file into BF2. do that until the apache runs ingame without problems.
Hope that helps.

i think you mean that you want to play it in game on a vanilla server. The answer to that is, no. You have to have it a mod, and at that point you have to get friends to use it on a LAN for it to be "fun".
If you still decide on adding it in say for single player, well the answer is going to be "yes you can" but you need to switch it to the cobra to play on any vBF2 server.
Until then just stick with the cobra

I'm going to put this in Community Modding as it is more suitable there

Err, no. BF2 to BF2 is ALLOWED, it's BF2 to BF2142 they don't allow. If using booster pack stuff in BF2 mods wasn't allowed, then R-DEVs would probably getting sued hard by now due all the xpak stuff that's used in PR.

Inside levels/mapname/server.zip/gamemodes/
I'd also suggest you go to bfeditor.org they got a ton of tutorials on this

Wrong, apparently PR is special and EA doesn't crack down on us. Other mods have gotten shut down for porting XPACK content into VBF2 mods.

I assume that this will be for singleplayer?
There's a simpler way to add xpack content to your own personal mod. See here. No need to move files back and forth.
Using xpack gear in vanilla kits - Battlefield SinglePlayer Forum
You may want to browse the BF2 SP forums also as there are many solutions posted regarding SP support for SF vehicles as the standard ones are missing some AI templates and will cause the game to crash.
