Project Reality Teamspeak

Hello, i had an idea when i was on the bus back home from town.
So i know there is alot of Clans and communeties out there in PR, and also there is alot of players, new and veteran ones who all exchange ideas in this Forum....
So what if we had a Teamspeak, that would be for all players in PR. Like the mother of all Teamspeak servers for PR players.
So there could be channels and sub channels for each server and also the same goes for Clans and teams and communeties.
When its up, just on the Frontpage, write the TS details, who is in there and such.
If you see where im going with this, and if anyone has a rout server ready. Maybe we could give this a go?
(Sorry if i double threded, didnt find anyother thread with this theme)

Just give regular players, Server Admin rights.

Seems really complex at the end of the day. And the amount sillyness that would happen scares me.
I personally not a fan of using TS but would rather have the internal VOIP always used. End of day lets keep the server admins in charge of there own servers.

Just thought of it as a better way of letting new players in, and also for it to be a meeting place for Teams, Clans, recruitment.
It doesnt have to be complicated, just give regular players Server Admin rights for kick and bans.
I cant really see the problem in having this work, our clan has a TS server already, and its working just fine.
What is the downside, please someone tell me.
I have to be honest, i dont like using the ingame voip. Have a hard time being understood, and a hard time understanding at times.

Ummm,
1. How much would this "Mother of All TS Servers" cost?
2. How badly will it lag when 500 and more people are on it at the same time?

If you have a normal 1000 mb/s server, it can house 1000 ppl if im not mistaken...
And most Root servers has that connection. 50- 80 euros would be a nice guess?

I thought PR already had a TS. Its used for like testing and Dev meetings. Correct me if i'm wrong. But good idea.

Im just wondering if its doable?
Im willing to pay 5 euros.
If we could start it up and check if it can handle it or not.

If there's channels for every server, that's going to be darned hard to police. I like the idea, but I think it'd be too easy for someone to start spamming channels and such.

I think the IRC channel is good enough, already set up, and easier to police.

They do, but I highly doubt that they would let the community use it.

Most clans already use their own clan TS servers so this community TS server would be used mostly by players without a clan (IMO).

This can lead to abuse... really.

Sure people will have fun in the TS server, but you can make your own Spam channel.
Each server channel has several subchannels. I have never been in a TS server where people are abusing it. What has happened, is maybe two people starting to argue pretty hard about some discussion. But that was in a talk channel.
If you have the ability to fool around, wouldnt you already do it in the BF2 squad?
So im just asking, is there any way we can try this out, and if people are acting like ****, then you have proven me wrong.

I could set up a first ts for testing. All this spamming **** could be handeled by some addons for the server (pearl-mod...) and some guys who know whats SA is...
Well... I will set up a server this day, or maybe tommorow, don't know if I will have enough time, when I'm at home. THIS WILL BE JUST A SERVER FOR THE BEGINNING! IF THE TRAFFIC WILL REACH SOMETHING LIKE 1TB WE HAVE TO FIND ANOTHER SOLUTION ;D
But I think, 200-300 people won't be a problem...
Edit:
Server is running at:
85.25.152.204:8767
Going to be configured later

The DEVs already have a lot of cost. If you really want this, set it up trough the community

Totally agree, also , most of the servers have a TS available for the public when i think about Thors brigade and battlearena(witch is the mother of all lone wolves)
