Marines CH-46 Seaknight in game

I was wondering about one thing that would be cool in-game for PR. The amrines should have the CH-46 Seaknight medium transport helicopter. It would be the Marines equivalent to the british Merlin transport chopper. It would be cool and fun to fly and see up in the air along with the Huey and Super cobra. Would make the game more realistic

Supposedly being replaced by the V22 Osprey, though I do agree they should have some CH46s just incase

been suggested a billion times. please do a search first before you make a suggestion. far as i know no one is working on a sea knight, sooo best way to get it in game is to get a 3d modelling program and make it!

I hope they add the Osprey, I tested it on the training mode and I LOVED how if you exited the vehicle, you stood on the ramp in the back. Can you say paratroopers?

It was decided to focus manpower on developing a CH-47 Chinook instead, as the Chinook model could be modified slightly and used for both the U.S. Army and Great Britain.
This has been suggested before, though it saddens me that a Marine Seaknight isn't in the works.

Will the chinook be able to carry things? Like jeeps? In real life it can carry supplies and even vehicles, would be cool if it could deploy two supply crates instead of the standard one, or like a humvee. Wouldn't that be nice, your SL calls in for a humvee so a Chinook pilot flies in and drops one off. Not sure how it'd work but it'd be cool.

What's that suppose to mean? Both of my suggestions are perfectly doable on the current BF2 engine.

Pretty sure it isn't possible for a helo to carry another vehicle with the BF2 engine!

i also thought that till yesterday, but SATNAV one of the best bf2 modding cracks said, that it would actually be possible with python scripting

Well cool, but I didn't mean actually carrying the humvee under or anything. Just like, if it presses a button a humvee magicly appears under it with a parachute, ala normal BF2 vehicle drop.

It's not possible to make a vehicle drop appear under a heli? Yeah, sure. No offense dude but don't go around saying things aren't possible, especially when even someone who doesn't even mod knows it is. :/

Cool idea but I think this has already been suggested. The Chinhook can fill this role and same with the Huey, they all carry the same(8 ) number of passengers.

Even if that's so, I know of less powerfull engines then the BF2 one that could pull off a moving spawn location. For gods sake they allready do it in PR in the form of bunkers and whatnot. The only differance that might cause problem (Allthough I doubt it) would be this spawn would be toggleble by the pilot, and could only be used once. However they manage to make an ammo crate spawn under a heli only once. I see NO reason why they couldn't make something such as a humvee spawn under it aswell. All the coding is there, it's all allready been done, so I don't see how he can say it's not possible.

Well no offense, credability isn't something I care about. I mean lets face it, I have no power here and people can either choose to listen to me or not, whether they do or not doesn't actually affect me, I've still said what I wanted to say.
Aswell, just because I haven't modded BF2, or done any real serious modding does NOT mean I don't know how to mod. I do know some things about modding and I have done a little in the past, so I know, for the most part, what I am talking about.
As for the less powerfull comment, that was derived from the possibilities the engine provides. If an engine can do more things then another, it's more powerfull. For example I'd say the Half Life 2 engine is vastly more powerfull then the BF2 engine, simply because you can do more with it, and less is "Hardcoded".
In the end, I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss things just because they were worded rather bluntly. I wasn't insulting or mean in any way, I was simply annoyed at the "It's not possible" comment. I haven't even been in the community that long and I've seen instances where devs said it's not possible, and later came around and did it. So yeah, don't dismiss things because they're not worded politicly correct, dismiss them if they have no merit.

to learn modding you must have modded... basically when learning C++ you have to write programs i imagine its the same with modding although i have no modding experience myself i only draw the conclusion from my C++ experience.
