Ok i saw today a post by a Dev from a short while ago saying there's going to be a Hardcore and Lite version of PR but i cant find any reference here after doing a search.

When's this going to happen and what's going to be the difference between the 2 versions?

Not harder, just more realistic, but we are going to make 2 versions shortly, Hardcore, and Lite, so you get the best of both worlds

This was just a little debate that happened between devs. We settled our differences and agreed that PR is....PR. We won't split the best comminity ever! Future versions will keep all the realism aspects while symplifing certain terms and rules so that new players aren't as confused as they currently are.

Why is this necessary when people can just use older versions.
Only thing I can think of is that people want the newer maps and vehicles but with no changes to bf2 gameplay like deviation, suppression effect, sl spawn etc

IMO its exactly what the community needs to stop it splitting, if some Devs (to quote the a lead Dev) think the latest version isnt fun anymore, lacks teamwork and infantry play has gone out the window what do you think the community thinks?...

i just saw that post by force and thought it was interesting but others decided to batter me as if i'd come up with the idea myself

these are Devs saying theses things not me but as usual the "realism crowd" wade in and stop any real debate or give any quality input

Sorry dude it wasn't meant for you my speeling should be under 15's. It's usually kids that have a problem with reality and the way PR developed. When they get older they will like, and with age comes other good stuff as the smiley, got my thought now? I had the same issues, it's a joke nothing personal for anyone, jeez.

It's more sad to read all the negative threads out there. Don't you think? The Dev's are spending time and effort into something and then some without thinking are making threads that grow to 20 pages with how bad PR got. Read all my post and see if you can find bashing anything bad about PR?

i'm personally not saying there should be 2 versions but what i do think is that some not all public server variables should be changeable

i.e. round times, ticket amounts, deviation on/reduced/off, suppression on/off , no vehicles etc..

but i'll take that to the private server admins area
