but before I do, I have one question...

are all the full servers still running way too much of de_dust... I mean kashan?

or has kashan been updated at all to be less of "bunker battles" to something more interesting? I just remember, from before, if you wanted 20+ people on a server, you pretty much had to settle with kashan.

Kashan is less played at the moment, but it is still a great map with great teamwork.
But at the moment Jabal is probably the high score map.

But bunker battles? Well it is the main point of the map, but once you get past that area you don't go there. But yes Kashan is less played. Period.

Kashan 16 does tend to be a bunker battle for the infantry if both teams are equally swift,

but the 32 and 64 have lots of movements in to the villages.

Dont forget about Al Basrah, my personal fav.

Yeah there is now a 16 player version of Kashan which is exactly the same size as Kashan 64/32 but has only jeeps and transport choppers.

kashan is still played WAY too much on one of the US servers (or any of them, for that matter). texas teamplayers plays kashan at least 70% of the time, which is why i havent been on their server very much. it's probably a higher percentage than 70%, actually...

kashan is, without a doubt, my least favorite PR map ever.

<edit> and i dont understand 16 player kashan. why turn kashan into an infantry map? it's layout is pretty awful for infantry. i would rather play a specialized infantry map. 16 player kashan is the best version, though...

Honestly, I like kashan but only when it is randomly put in to the map cycle- not when people are expecting it to come on- cuz that means good teamplayers who enjoy normal non-air whore maps (thats right alex, i'm looking at you :mrgreen will be on for good teamwork.

But plenty of servers are running other maps, and several dont like kashan very much. So there's always a server you can retreat to in the event that the server your on switches to kashan

Thinking about getting back into PR

I see quite a good amount of maps being played. I'm not a super Kashan fan, only because I dont have 4 hours to play on map but the servers are filled with multiple maps being played. I think the initial OMG a HUGE MAP has died down.

Nothing personal "typical skeleton", but this is going to turn into a which maps better topic.
