i was thinking it would be cool if the new US army faction has a more realistic (and better looking) SF unit

Would require a new model and that is a lot of work.

Models aren't that important. They just hold the place of a certain task.

Just use the regular Assault type instead of the gamey SF type for the kit.

No need for a new SF model, the current one looks like what they are wearing in Iraq currently.

Army SF in Iraq ive only seen like the ArmA picture above, while SF in Afghanistan have hughass beards+sunglasses+baseball cap+tshirts, etc for some reason

yeah it would be cool but it is definately not priority and is a lot of work

Maybe to blend in. And they look the same mostly, only time there really dressed up like in the pics is if there going into a village and want to be seen as soldiers, not villagers.

Yeah the only people who have longish hair in the army,(British at least) is the SF so they blend in and don't look like 'Jarheads' as such.

Would been cool with some sunglasses though I believe its pretty sunny down in iraq and A-stan

Meh, I think it would be more of a priority to give ACH/MICH helmets to the Army kits rather than focusing just on the SpecOps kit.

The USMC and U.S. Army need a new SF guy...The current one is SOO stupid looking,and unrealistic...

The USMC SF guy should resemble a Force Recon guy..

And the U.S. Army SF guy should resemble a Ranger,Delta Force,or Green Beret...lol.

SF teams dress differently depending on their assignment. In PR, since your in the same theater as regular forces, usually encountering conventional enemy forces, a regular rifleman uniform and service rifle would make sense.

But that dumb hat...Just gets on my nerves...A cool tan (for desert maps) or black (for woodland maps) tactical SWAT like helmet would be cooler...
