Project Reality in my opinion is the best and most successful mod ever created. I give great respects for the mod team and the people who enjoy this mod, like I do.

There are some things I consider revising on my own thoughts and knowledge. No offense or attacking the mod team, just my thoughts and opinions on some things that I would like to share...

For the kits, I like the idea, but I think some of the names need changing for more "Accuracy".
(Don't forget, I'm sure the Mod Team has thought it over...etc... but I'd still like to share my thoughts :D )

Special Kits: (Focusing mainly on the names)
Sniper - I think this should be renamed "Sharpshooter". But generally known as "Sniper".
Marksman - This is fine to my knowledge.
Special Ops - This is fine to my knowledge. Though, I think the limiter should be "6". It would make sense for an entire squad to be "Special Forces".
AT Rifleman - Not sure about this one.
Automatic Rifleman - Should be renamed to "Squad Automatic". Representing "SAWs"(Squad Automatic Weapons).
Grenadier - Not sure. I think this is fine.
Anti-Tank - Hmmm. Kinda contradicts "AT Rifleman" IMO. But other than that, it's fine.
AA Rifleman - I guess it is fine.
Crewman - This is fine to my knowledge.
Pilot - This is fine to my knowledge

Basic Kits: (Focusing mainly on names)
Officer - This is fine, but maybe should be called "Squad Leader"? (Not Every Officer is a "Squad Leader").
Rifleman - This is fine.
Rifleman Optics - Should be called "Support" or "Support Rifleman".
Combat Medic - This is fine.
Combat Engineer - This is fine.
Scout - This is fine.
Militant - Should be renamed to Rifleman(We already know he's a Militant, lol).
Medic - I'm really not sure about this one, I don't think just "Medic" is right, though.
Sapper - This is fine.
Cell Leader - "Cell" Leader is too Generic IMO. Should remain "Squad" Leader.
Insurgent - Should be renamed to Rifleman.
Ambusher - It's fine, though I do consider "Guerilla Rifleman".
War Veteran - Not sure about this one.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

For Service Infantry Weapons. Alot of it is fine for me, but some things I would like changed. (Note: I'm not Exactly sure about everything on this one, because I didn't use all the weapons and kits to make a complete determination; Also not everything is clear to my knowledge, so some of them are guesses. And, some of the weapons I mention are already in use, but i'm just listing for the heck of it.)

United States:
Assault Rifle - M16A4(I think the PR model needs revising. It's too thick IMO; Should use the M16A2 model from Vanilla BF2, but revise it to look like the M16A4).
Carbine Rifle - M4A1.
Support Weapon - M249, M240, and M2HB.
Precision Rifle - M21(M14 is pretty much the same thing from what I remember). Edited: DMR
Sniper Rifle - M24. Edited: M40A3
Shotgun - M4
Sub-Machine Gun - Mp5
Pistol - M92
AA Launcher - Stinger?
Light AT - SRAW Edited: AT4
Heavy AT - AT4 Edited: SRAW

Great Britain:
Assault Rifle - L85A1 Edited: L85A2
Carbine Rifle - HK53 Edited: L22
Support Weapon - L110A1, L7A2, L2A1(The L7A2(FN MAG) should replace the M249 in main SAW category, IMO). Edited: (I never been to Britain or Enlisted in their Military, but I seen many British Firefights and the FN MAG was definately more used than the FN MINI)
Precision Rifle - L86A2
Sniper Rifle - L96A1
Shotgun - Remington?
Sub-Machine Gun - Mp5
Pistol - L9A1
AA Launcher - Stinger? Edited: Starstreak
Light AT - Javelin Edited: ILAW
Heavy AT - ILAW Edited: Javelin

Middle East:
Assault Rifle - G3A3
Carbine Rifle - HK53
Support Weapon - RPD, HK21, DShk(I generally think the DShk should be used instead of the KORD. The KORD is only 10 years old).
Precision Rifle - HK33/SG1
Sniper Rifle - Dragunov SVD
Shotgun - Saiga
Sub-Machine Gun - PP19
Pistol - Baghira
AA Launcher - Igla
Light AT - RPG
Heavy AT - Gustav?

China:
Assault Rifle - Type 97
Carbine Rifle - Type 95 Carbine
Support Weapon - Type 81, KORD or NSV Edited: and Type 95 MG
Precision Rifle - SKS?
Sniper Rifle - Type 88
Shotgun - Norinco
Sub-Machine Gun - Type 85
Pistol - Type 54 or Type 92
AA Launcher - Igla?
Light AT - Eryx Edited: Gustav
Heavy AT - Gustav? Edited: Eryx

Militia:
Assault Rifle - AK47
Carbine Rifle - AKM Edited: AKS74
Support Weapon - RPK, PKM, and DShk(I disagree with the PKM being the main SAW. I think the RPK should).
Precision Rifle - SKS
Sniper Rifle - Mosin Nagant
Shotgun - Saiga or Winchester
Sub-Machine Gun - AKS-74U Edited: PPSH
Pistol - TT33? Edited: N/A
AA Launcher - N/A
Light AT - RPG
Heavy AT - N/A

Insurgents:
Assault Rifle - AK47
Carbine Rifle - AKM Edited: AKS74
Support Weapon - RPK, PKM, and DShk or KORD(I disagree with the PKM being the main SAW. I think the RPK should).
Precision Rifle - SKS
Sniper Rifle - Dragunov SVD
Shotgun - Saiga
Sub-Machine Gun - AKS-74U Edited: N/A
Pistol - N/A
AA Launcher - N/A
Light AT - RPG
Heavy AT - N/A

This is all. Please don't bash me if I'm wrong about some things, just simply correct me, and give your opinions. :)
(P.S. I apologize about this long post; I hope it is interesting.)

I'm sorry, but I don't think any of those need changing.

Really? From sound detail, AT4 seems heavier than SRAW. But I could be wrong.
ILAW is the AT4, just British Abreviation.

The M16A4 looks thick because of Rail guards over a RIS handguard Image

That, plus I think most of us got used to the ultra-this handguards of the vBF2 M16A2

im sorry but i would have to disagree on most of your suggestions

especially with the names of the classes, changing them to what you suggested is just a step back towards vanilla imo,

why the hell would we switch back from our brand new m16a4 to the vanilla m16a2, when the USMC actually uses the m16a4

also i think you should conduct alot more research into your weapons etc as most of that is wrong, espeically the AT's of all factions

Actually, by popularity, Desert Combat was/is the best.... :(

Anyways, the Sniper kit is not called the Sharpshooter kit because a SNIPER uses a scope, while a SHARPSHOOTER doesn't. :o

Seeing as how the kit has a telescoping sight.....im guessing it is a Sniper rifle. Hence: it is and will remain a Sniper Kit

The Pilot kit should have binoculars. To see trouble comming once downed. Thats my only remarks concerning your remarks.

black-wolf, ouch dude, I was just giving an opinion, no need to be harsh. I even said some of them were guesses. I typed the post when I was just about to fall asleep.

Teek, I just think the entire model is a bit too thick, but w/e.

WNxCareBear, re-read my post, plz. Never did I say they should use the M16A2. I say they should use the M16A2 model and revise it to look like the M16A4. It was only a suggestion. Name the ones that are wrong.

[=TC=]nuetron, Yeah. A "Sharpshooter" is a Sharp Shooter. Could very well be a Marksman, but commonly preferred for Snipers. Hence the German word for Sniper is "Scharfshutze" which means Sharpshooter.
The Military definition for Sharpshooter is one who is above Marksman, but below Expert. The definition for Sniper is "Shooting at people from a distant and concealed place. A skiller military shooter. A Marksman who shoots at people from a concealed place". Pretty much, anyone can be a Sniper, if they're doing that of "Sniping". But Sharpshooter would make more sense than just to call it "Sniper" IMO.

Livings, by your own argument, "sniper" makes more sense than "sharpshooter", as what you have just described is what the PR sniper is supposed to do. Plus, IRL, snipers are usually known as "snipers". Just because the Germans call them "sharpshooters" doesn't mean the rest of the world does.

It is also illegal to change the vBF2 model - which isn't as good as the one in PR - around.

Also, what's up with the "carbine" kits? The AKM, for one, isn't a carbine.

[R-MOD]KP, The point about "Sniper" I was trying to make is that the Abreviation would rationally be called "Sharpshooter" but generally and commonly known as Snipers. For an example, if I took a regular Assault Rifle, got on top of a building and started picking off guys, and they had a difficult time to find me or not, they would generally call me a "Sniper" because I am "Sniping". The Term "Sniper" is mainly more Subjective than "Sharpshooter".

About the M16 Model, I see. I was just giving a suggestion to my own opinion, I know there are opinions that counter mine.

I put AKM, because I couldn't think of anything else at that moment. I was falling asleep while typing the post last night. (Don't forget, these are only opinions and suggestions for a supporter of this Mod. I'm not Demanding anything or wishing for it).

I see your point, but "sniper" is in fact the title of the role IRL. E.g. USMC scout/snipers.

My suggestion to you: don't post suggestions while falling asleep. They tend not to turn out well. ;)

Most is right. As Carebear put it the M16A2 is not really used anymore by USMC.
The point about "Sniper" I was trying to make is that the Abreviation would rationally be called "Sharpshooter" but generally and commonly known as Snipers. You would be a sharpshooter if you started killing guys at long range with a unscoped rifle. For the point above your called a marksmen.

Isn't Sharpshooter the lowest possible accuracy rating during US Marine Corps training?
