I'd love to see the Swedish Armed Forces in PR. I understand that there's not a very big player demand of this but at least it's suggested now. Could it be done?

I'm in the army now, I don't have time for that. But maybe I'll take a look at it in a few months.

As much as I would love to see my own county in PR I don't think its a good idea. The only war we are in is the Afganistan war and even in that we are not fighting we are just helping/protecting the afganistan people.

We been in like 2 or 3 firefigts.

Can we add the Pontifical Swiss Guard first?

Last time i checked the MEC was in no war yet

The scenario is fictional enough to put any army anywhere i think. So, as long as someone makes it, i see not a big problem, except the increased download size.

The Swiss seem to be a better choice for PR than the Swedes at the moment.

So we made Swiss or Swedish army figures, and then what? Been a few years since any of our countries has seen any action. As Spaz rightfully says, there might be Swedish, Norwegian forces out there, but it's hardly front-line fighting. The British are seeing action, and taking casualties, they make sense and is a fun alternative to the American army.

(I don't really get the Russian guerrillas in PR, but Fools road is good fun so I don't need it explained.)

If I was to pick a country based on the fan-base on here, I would say the Brazilian army, for every Sweed, Swiss and Norse player, there is like 10 of them, it's.. rather impressive how popular PR is over there...

But hey, as Rhino always says and already said, if you can make the characters and the equipment, go for it.

There is already a suggestion for the Nordic Battlegroup, by the way, which basically translates into Swedish Forces.

'Fraid you're wrong there. Norwegian forces are deployed as a part of ISAF in A-stan and they did a fair bit of front-line fighting a few weeks back. Have a look over in News From The Frontlines.

In reality: no

Sweden have many soldiers under NATO command in other countries, like Afghanistan.

I'm not clear if they have genuine Special Forces, but there is one named SSG officially it is a 80 men strong force but "secretly" not many knows. In Afghanistan the Swe force is made of 330 men and is part of ISAF which is made of 37,000 soldiers in AFG. I guess it's a really small number of the 330 men that is involved in combat operations under ISAF. Then they have 202 men in Chad operating with EUFOR as peacekeepers.

Although I think we're going to have to settle for Norway (being the next best thing) as I doubt there's going to be enough volunteers to work on a project such as this...
