Yea, the AIX mortars arent the best. AT guy drops mortar(s), jumps behind it, tries to guess where to shoot at and boom... Grenade would have been easier. I hope PR mortars are a bit less spammy.

Back on topic, Im sure the DEVs are aware of this. I am also pretty sure that the DEV want to implement mortars in the most realistic fashion. I know nothing of real life mortars or the ones in AIX, but I can only assume that they arent amazingly true to life. Thats not a jab at them, Im just guessing since its mainly an SP type mod that it wasnt too concerned with realism and went the flashy cool AI killing badass way

You're kinda correct unless they totaly changed the mod since i last played it. I mean... there are miniguns... for ground troops... Its a fun mod. Sorry for OT... if it was OT, dunno.

AIX is just a fantasy mod. It isn't concerned with reality in any way. The morters there are like grenade launchers in the same way you aim them.
AIX morters would ruin PR, so like has been suggested, they are probably just trying to find a more realistic way of putting morters into the game.

actually, I think putting in mortars like you guys are putting in the fifty cals is a very good idea, considering the range of most mortars this can be balanced very well...
