Since many armies do on occasion partake in wargames with friendlies, how about a map where both sides are made of coalition forces? A very European/American style map with UK/USMC/USArmy as the only forces?

In such wargames, live ammo may not be used, but the laser-based systems are designed to simulate being shot, so really the scenario isn't as far fetched as it may seem. Would also be interesting to see how the Coalition gear fares against other friendly systems.

How would you simulate that? What about medics? Bombs? Mh...

Such things are all simulated in wargames. The only differene is you wouldn't see groups of 'dead' squaddies walking back to base and the explosions would be real instead of pre-placed pyros.

This would be perfectly fine, to be honest. You guys are thinking to much about how you'd handle dieing when the answer is stareing you right in the face. Just keep the death system the same. You dieing and respawning would simulate you getting tagged by a laser and returning to base.

Really just keep everything in the game, only the factions would change. UK V Americans, nothing else would change. I mean as much as we all crave realism, this is still a game. And I'm pretty sure we're all mature enough to get the jist of the whole war-games deal.

Exactly my idea. No need to simulate simulated death when there's a perfectly good system in place already.

If I'm not much mistaken (and I am not), US vs UK has been suggested multiple times before. Making a map like this would also mean brand-new Western statics having to be made. Lots of work, not too much gain.
