Realism Error: Reduce Medic Sprint Distance

Over the past week I recently had the pleasure of talking with a combat medic from the 10th Mountain Division as they were stationed outside of West Point. Through the conversation I had with him I encountered a glaring error in that the sprint distance for the medic is longer than that of other rifleman. I'm not sure if this was factored in when making that assumption, but combat medics carry an inordinate amount of supplies on top of the gear that every rifleman carries already. This would imply that medics would be further encumbered than riflemen and should receive lower sprint values because of it.
One further talking point: Army combat medics are issued ACOGs along with their M4 rifle. Essentially, a medic's function in combat is no different than that of a rifleman, except when there are wounded present. I can't speak on behalf of the Marines, although it is a safe assumption that they would act similarly.
