UAV With hellfires

I did search the forums, found one thread but not about missles

Is it possible that the Commander would deploy one UAV every 30 mis or so.

The commander would controll the UAV and give intell and fire hellfire missles like so..

If it does not work try this

YouTube - UAV Kills 6 Heavily Armed Criminals

Or Commander would deploy it and somebody just has to laze something and the uav automatically fires at it

Remote controlled objects are not possible with the BF2 engine.

The only thing that is remote controllable is the TV guided missile.

It could be used as a laser-guided airstrike device (like the JDAM but with a much smaller AP explosion), using the flying vBF2 UAV model.

Not true

Anyway..

So if you want it in PR you should look into coding it yourself, if you make something good and workable we may use it ;)

If you ask me, it's TV guided missile with a different model. Look overpowered too.

That’s the point. You can change the model to the stock UAV, remove collision/explosion damage and increase the flight time but reduce flight speed.

But I don’t think the hellfire capability can work this way.

hmm, the only issue i found with that was the nmissile is far too agile, and it was being launched from deck torpedo launchers.

this shouldnt be impossible, they had a remote controlled missile in secret weapons 1942.

Dont know about BF2 but Forgotten Hope had a remote controlled Goliath in their BF1942 version.

That missile uses the same code as the tv guided missile you need to click to steer and where you click goes the object. So if you use a UAV as the object it will just act like a guided missile.

Does it really matter if it can be done or not? It sounds like a horrible thing to throw into the gameplay if you ask me. :\

Mora is right. If you would klick the hellfire the uav would be the hellfire(kamikaze).

Btw.
I like the idea with the patriot. Lets use patriots instead like POE :D
Just commander can use it with a reload time of ....

people need to remember that 1942 was on a different engine to BF2

Yup, the feeling of PR will be gone then.
