Hey guys, I finally decided to download a mod for BF2, and after hearing how great PR is, I figured I'd download it. Well, I downloaded the core and the maps, installed it, but every time I try to load it up, I get this error:

"StaticMesh.fx(2):error x1507:failed to open source file:mods/xpack/shaders/datatypes.fx"

Any idea what might be causing this error?

I had this problem with vanilla after installing PR...It was fixed after installing the most recent vanilla patch.

Vanilla means regular BF2 without any mods, or any regular game without mods.

So, is your version of BF2 with the newest patch?

It should be, I play online all the time. And I've never downloaded a mod for it before.

Download and install the patch too.

When you downloaded PR, did you download core, levels and patch? Also, do you have the 1.41 patch for bf2?

So I need the PR patch too, not just the core?

You need BF2 patched to 1.41
Than PR Client 0756 (Core) and Levels.

If you just install the Core you dont have any maps.

Did you're BF2 is patched to 1.41 ? ( You can still play on other version if there is server you know. ) If yes proceed to next.

Did you have instal PR CORE BEFORE PR LEVEL ? If yes proceed to next.

Do you try reinstall every thing ? it fix many of my problem most of the time... If yes, i cant help you anymore lol!
