map but before I do I need to know if it would be possible to have a map with that size with an jungle setting similiar to the ghost train map or if there would be technical limitations.

If you suggest for a map you have to make it yourself or get a mapper with you. All the map suggestion gets a negative if you dont make the map yourself.

isn't quinling kashan sized?
I think the problem is that alot of the map won't be used, so all the trees and stuf u place there will be wasted.

Qinling is too hilly, and not thick enough in the forest department. Would be nice to have a map like it but with less hills, and more bushes and tall grass to hide in.

theres a limit IIRC to how many things a mappper can place on a map, surely kashan with trees would max that out ?

It'd work, you'd just have to segment the map. Open fields and dense forests. If, for example on qinling, he made a relativly open field near village, with only a couple of trees. And then made the entire top left an open field with only a tree here or there, the ... whatever they're called, he saved on those areas he could then place into other areas, thickening up the woods. The ENTIRE map doesn't have to be one big desert, just make clumps of very thick and dense woods to hide in.

Well, say, Fool's Road with 2-3x the size... I believe some people's computers would up and kill themselves if they though of that... And even if they didn't lag would be so bad...
and there is a limit to how many trees one can place... I think.

STEEL THUNDER was the greatest fun to play but it had some parts that were poorly designed

Well like I said, if the map had areas of large open plains with a few bushes and trees, and then areas of very thick woodland areas with densy backed trees and bushes. In the end it wouldn't be any worse then loading Qingling. But because the way they're placed, depending on the area, you'd still get that dense forest feel. Would also be nice for infantry, run from one patch of woods to another to avoid armor and air assets.

Any one want to whip up a tree that renders light?
On the big maps the terrain gets big and chunky cause its magnified at 4x remember.
