Jumping from vehicle damage

The one thing thats made me very angry about PR, is how you can die from jumping out of a car. How is that realistic? You get hurt when the car is driving 5 miles per hour!!!! If you guys think its realistic to die from jumping out of a vehicle, i'll post a video of me jumping out of a moving vehicle!!!! If I die, your right. If i live, ill probably be hurt alittle, but then i can brag while im recovering!

So what do i suggest?

Reduce the damage. I don't have alot of experience with the bf2 editor, but I havee experience with game development. Its probably be just a few changes to a script. So my suggestion is to reduce damage.

It is a good tatical decision for an APC to countinue moving while deploying troops. While it may not be at high speeds, troops can be a deployed from moving apc. If you tried this in pr, everyone would start dieing, and running in circles requesting a medic.

Ok then cant wait to see you jump out of a car and post it on youtube

but if you roll out of a car your momentum keeps you going so you slow down instead of just a sudden stop( it does work i tried it in a golf cart) so instead of people jumping out of cars they roll out of them

Put on full gear, and then jump out of a car moving only 20kmph. Post the result here if you survive that.

I've gotta agree with this one
and the fact he's willing to die for his cause should spark your attention. YOU, the reader, need to realize the size of this gentleman's ... err devotion
LOL
ok to get serious:
a soldier in this game is jumping out of a vehicle wearing gloves, boots, body Armour,a helmet and often, knee pads with all that padding jumping out of a moving car should only make you roll for a bit (unless it's high speed)
with this logic soldiers should be damaged the least when exiting a moving vehicle
and insurgents should get damaged the most
Militia should take moderate damage

also jumping off anything yields too much damage... because people don't just walk off a ledge to get down from high areas, they clamber down. I think that if you jump under 13 ft you shouldn't take damage

oh yea I done it alot when camping. it took some skill then I learned I shouldn't fall head first
(just joking) but soldiers train to fall that's what an obstacle course is for.

on a side note:
do you remember the pictures of al-quida on the monkey bars?
CiA officer asks: "Is that you on the monkey bars at an al-quida terrorist training camp?"
JIHADist: "OH no, we're not training to be terrorists we're playing follow the leader at a playground it's just Osama really likes monkey bars"

Best terrorist joke ever:

Bin Laden Junior comes back from school and Bin Laden asks him:

- Hey, how did the exams go?
- Not so good, i failed in geography. I told them that the Eifel Tower is taller than the World Trade Center
- Dont worry son, pappa will fix this

This guy does have a point, you can't exactly animate the soldier rolling when jumping out, so just make it so it only does real damage when at high speeds, and just say the soldier rolled. We use a lot of metaphors in PR, this is just one more to compensate for a lame and uncooperative engine.

What about broken bones? Like broken wrist, arms, legs, and even qwisted ankles. Woulden't want to jump out of a car with this on

^ I doubt that your carrying that much on. If anything I would put all the extra gear I dont need on the rally point.

The picture is a little elaborated but still, also the insurgents shoulden't have the most damage but the least.

The game DEVs don't want this because this is vBF2 tactics. People see enemies then jump out at full speed. Then they do it again and again. Yeh I say no.

You'd think all that padding and armor would HELP when they jump out. I mean seriously, if you're jumping out of a car going 20 MPH, would you rather hit the pavement with your bare skin (Clothes count) or would you rather have nice cushy padding to help you? I mean you make it sound like all that padding would make it worse, not better, and I just don't see the logic in this.

Also, Xander, the only soldier that comes anywhere NEAR that guy is a squad leader with the backpack. No other soldier even has a backpack as far as I know.

Well why would you want to jump out of a car in REAL LIFE?

I do think that you take more damage than you probably should from jumping out of a vehicle, but it sort of acts as a deterrent to those people who like to hop out and abandon their teammates in the heat of battle.

I've never seen soldiers unload from a moving vehicle, they always stop then get out. Tripping over and sprained ankles are not a good idea in a battlefield.
