ahh yes, i love this song, both the traditional folk version and the verion made for the Black Hawk Down Film. But a more actiony bit of msic like the 0.5 remix would be better imo

Yea! The Who has so many great songs that could fit a trailer for PR, but wouldn't you have to pay royalty fees or something to use the music?
But in reality, maybe the theme song should be something a bit more... American? Maybe use a song from Creedence Clearwater Revival, like Fortunate Son!

A remix is best because the more original it sounds the more it feels more professional.
using a well known track just gives the impression of "hey we like the WHO, do you like the WHO?"

While I'm sure all the songs would go wonderfully well with
the trailer, there's probably a lot more in depth selection
process than just "this song is great."
For instance, we must also consider the song's rhythm and
beat. Does it match the timing of events in the film? If a
song is out of sync with the movie or doesn't really match up
or fit, it can ruin the overall quality of the trailer.
Then comes the actual song itself. Certain songs tend to
match the scene of a movie better than others. An example being
that you wouldn't use classical music for a real fast-paced
action scene, and rock music doesn't always fit a slow, tactical
scene.
Finally, the director's vision comes into play. If the director
wants to get your adrenaline flowing, he or she
(have to be grammatically correct) might choose a song from the genres
of rock, alternative, or heavy metal. If the director wants to show
slow, tactical play, he or she might choose a song from
the genres of classical music or slow movie soundtracks.
So, if I am to express my opinion in the matter, I would
say that whomever is directing and editing the v0.8 trailer
pick music that comfortably fits whatever he or she has
created.
Jus' sayin'.
