Am I the only one who would be interested in version of PR that is a bit less "harsh"? I love the equipment, weapon damage, kit selection, and other things in PR and generally I tend to lean towards enjoy more realisic games like the classic Rainbow 6 series and Red Orchestra. Yet I find other features in PR just annoying or overdone. Basically I prefered PR back before many of the recent changes.

Basically I would to propose a minimod with the following changes:
-Only a 20 second spawn or so
-Squad leader spawn reintroduced
-Minimap reintroduced
-Less recoil on some weapons (in my opinion the recoil on many assault rifles seems)
-No addition to your spawn time for getting killed
-Kit request time lowered somewhat
-No wait to use weapons after switching vehicle positions
-Javelin launcher, cluster bombs, and other equipment considered not balanced enough for PR
-Other changes

While I dont like or agree with this we see how well the topic goes.

Honestly. of these suggestions, i only like the Javeling and Cluster bombs...

20 Seconds to Respawn sounds so.. so DM..

no offense but the suggestions sound like BF2 Vanilla on steroids thts all. and the javelin is a good suggestion and so is the cluster bombs but honestly that would lag a lot of low spec players soo.

I'd rather not, there are alternatives you can try, like POE2 or vBF2. Or even have people play older versions of PR.

I disagree with all of your propositions especially the spawn on squad leader part and the minimap but I wouldn't mind a reduction of suppression effect.

Seems interesting, but there are other mods that do this kind of stuff. Check out PoE2.

Like suggested earlier, if you want to try a more "lite" version of PR, there are plenty of alternatives.

Eve of Destruction


All of these are high quality mods that have the gameplay elements you might be looking for. They all deserve recognition, do yourself a favor and at least download a few of these great mods to see an appreciation for what else is avaliable for BF2.

PR has and always will be about evolving gameplay to new heightened levels of realism and teamwork orientated gameplay. The PR team is committed to this design philosophy and will not be splitting its core user group into fractured mini-mods.

Please use the Suggestions and Feedback forum when making these kinds of suggestions in the future. This forum is for community MODDERS, so dont post a proposal here unless you are prepared to do all the work needed, as well as show a clear design outline, like all the rest of the hard working community modders have shown in this forum section.
