weapon wobble

quote by '[R-CON]Nedlands1' "The problem is with the player in my opinion. For instance, the player can hold his weapon perfectly steady despite being unsupported. If it was possible to incorporate working weapon sway into the game (or port PR to BF2142) then the random deviation could be reduced to reflect the accuracy of the weapon whist clamped. The player would be forced to adopt a supported position to reduce the sway as much as possible and time his shots accordingly."

(sorry the previous thread with this quote was closed but this was a slightly different topic to that thread anyway and something i feel strongly about...apology if its been discussed...I could not find it.)

Is it possible to implement weapon 'sway'?? that would be infinitely better than the bullets just going all over the shop like current build. Its so damn annoying that the bullets dont go where the crosshair points...especially when your never quite sure when your soldier is 'ready' to shoot coz there is no indication. I love the idea of scope wobble so the bullets actually go where the crosshair points but the scope is always moving...and obviously the less you move the less the scope wobbles etc (but obviously not instantly soon as you stop moving!) this to me would be the best fix ever and more realistic! :P

this is my number 1 pet hate with my fav game...especially when there is also a 'luck draw' involved....the uncountable times i have been laying still for a couple of minutes, then shoot and somehow miss the guy only 20ft away, only for him to role over and basically shoot me whilst basically mid-dive and kill me first shot. This causes me to scream at the computer 'he didnt even wait 1 f*cking second and shoots me between the eyes when i been laying there for 2 minutes and my shot goes over the f*cking moon!!!" lol

1) sway not possible :(
2) deviation is being redesigned by Wolfe :)

ah fair doos...

well how about an indicator like the crosshair on the heavy AT kits...you know where the crosshairs move to the center of the scope? obviously this would be annoying and distracting to have on center of every scope, but maybe a similar indicator at the bottom of the screen or just bellow the scope? just an idea...but i would just love a way to tell when my soldier is ready to shoot accurately without guessing :)

You can have pretend sway as in FH2 where the weapon appears to sway but doesn't actually sway. The alternative is to approximate the effects of sway by beefing up the random deviation (which is done now). I hope to god that the patch for BF2 incorporates sway (which is already in BF2142).

yea that sounds good to...basically all i want is just a visual indicator of when my soldier is ready to shoot accurately! A real soldier would know when he is ready to shoot accurately! lol :D

has anyone actually tried to run and shoot watching how much the bullets miss and trying to imagine how much the weapon would sway? its ridiculous.

erm you cant run and aim at same time...? you can only walk slowly and aim, or run and shoot from the hip...from my experience anyway. and i dont think sway is necessary when shooting from the hip!

Weapon sway and all that goes with it has been suggested and discussed umpteen billion times. The search function is your friend.

Locked for resuggestion.
