Hai guys, this is not a suggestion, but I feel that the name for MEC is too....I am not going to say unrealistic considering vanilla wasn't headed for that, but yeah...

Example :O PEC :O rganization of Pertolium Extracting Countries
Example2:NATO(hopefully you all know):North Atlantic Treaty Organization

In real life name are way more clever when devissing acronyms for groups. If acronyms were as weird and plain as MEC was for the army, NATO would be something like WENAA(Western European-North American Alliance), but jumble words around until it makes a word like MEC is to Mech. So I have devised MANY more realisitc names for the MEC, I am putting down only so many,, because after a while I am reusing words and thats just not right.
(warning: most of these don't make real words like MEC sounds like mech)
BoAN(from Rising Conflicts mod):Brotherhood of Arab Nations(don't know why the of in in the acronym)
CMES: Coalition of Middle Eastern States
AAFF: Army of Arab Freedom Fighters
AAZA: Army Against Zionist Aggression
CMA: Coalition of Muslim Armies
My personal favorite, the NATO opposite:
META(sounds awesome, also its in RvBs new series) Middle Eastern Treaty Alliance

What are your ideas for a more realistic MEC acronym?

I personally like the option CMES-Coalition of Middle Eastern States. It couldn't hurt to change the name.

the MEC wouldn't call themselves the MEC -- they don't think they're the middle east.

By this reasoning, every faction would have to be called NATO or CATA in games, regardless of their actual allegiance, and I don't believe that's possible to code. I don't know how you could have two names (a file name and a display name) for one faction without causing conflicts on servers that have maps with two separate NATO/CATA factions in one full rotation.

Yeah, thats because North Atlantic Treaty Organization is different from Central Asian Treaty Alliance....Anyways, back to realistic names for that Arab faction.

Well, you don't have to pronounce MEC as in "mech", you can just say it by single letters.

They think WE are oppressors, now their governments are exactly North Koreanesque...but they will only allow so much. If either side would be oppressors...I would have to take a shot in the dark and say the "MEC" would be. So nice name, but the Oppression isn't the best idea to put in YOUR own sides name, like "Warsaw Pact" being called "Socialist Oppression Againt Western Aggression"...They seem alot less evil when they have a name without oppression in it.

BUT! You could just swap out the "opperssion" and switch in "Opposition".........hmmmmm you like? Yeah you do.

Sounds better than calling themselves an acronym with "oppression" in it. And you get to keep the name
