Look at what quinling has and thats about the limit for that size of a map. Because it lags some people, but not all.

I would trim the fat till it dont lag.
You could also make lower quality colormap textures with conversion and only use Four surrounding terrains -The other thoughts that crossed my mind.

I reckon bf2 is tweaked to handle statics as statics and overgrowth as overgrowth.

Post a screen of your map just cause im curious on how much you got in there.

Are you sure you meant to say 130 000 ? thats ALOT !!!!

I was talking to marco about the lag on Quling, as I was worried about increasing the overgrowth on my map. Apparently the lag is caused by the sounds - I remember reading about it along time ago, something about EAX possibly - I cant remember.
Also bear in mind that it is the statics/overgrowth that are within the view distance at any given point, rather than the total, and the lightmaps cause even more lag as will 64 players blowing everything up, so its no good just optimising it for the editor/local server.
What is the breakdown of the 130 000 between statics and overgrowth?

You said you had "130 000 objects". A detailed building has far more polys than a bush, so I was wondering how it was split between overgrowth and statics. From what youre saying the total of statics and vegetation will be over 130 000!
When you generate overgowth it will tell you how much overgrowth you have in the output window. Also if you click "level info" in the bottem bar whilst in "leveleditor" it will tell you the static total.

Usualy for me Undergrown lags more than over.

Try to reduce view distance, density of the jungle, put more fog, etc...
