Can any one please help me? How do you model the body of the gun? Do you just make a box and start forming or do you pull half of the cylindar down or something? Please reply I don't want to wait 1 day for 1 reply.

then maybe make it the squarish shape as a "base layer" lets say. Then you can add the detail on like Rails etc

1.Ok to be honest theres no REAL way of doing it as long as the model is correct at the end...
2.Also the only things that need to be separate objects are and parts that are going to be animated

-Post warned, he was trying to help you and this kind of reply is not really grateful, but rather disrespectful. Tonnie is a great modder, and offered you help, and this is your 'thanks'?

what tonnie is telling you there is no real way to make some thing every thing is a good way its just what you like to do you have box modelers, spline modelers (me) Plane modelers(me too) so ectuly you need to model what every you whant and HOW you whant it

p a t i e n c e.

and.

t u t o r i a l s.

I recommend that you sit your *** down and go through some tutorials on basic modeling (meaning: reading them, doing what they show and finishing the tutorial)
because you seem to be spamming these forums with new threads and bumps like crazy lately.

There have been posted countless tutorials and links on these forums before (I know I have).
I'm pretty sure I posted stuff for you and explained a lot of stuff but I got the feeling that you didnt take the tuts seriously since you keep asking about these basic things, because if you watched the videos you should at least be familiar with quite a few ways to model.

may sound a little harsh, but no offence intended.

Ahh no problem my middle name is harsh... not really but,
the reason I asked was because what If I modelled it a different way and it doesn't look the same thats the problem and theres a part of the model that doesn't make sence on how to model it. The weird curve thing at the end of the lower reciever that is next to the stock.

Ok I give up on the model right now. It just doesn't turn out right.

Actually nvm I take that back, might aswell keep going at it until I can't find a way to acomplish this.

You are doing this simply to practise right? Even though you probably are already very much abundantly aware, the M4s already been done for PR.
