medic squad

hello people. i have a long time playing prmm, analizing the combats and the fronline sitautions in the game. i always think about a big idea.
if the players have only one life... the game would be really interesting.
we will need a medic squad with the own medic vehicle (apc or hummvee) and we will need a lot evacuations from the front line.
its only an idea...if i can speak more inglish i will explain better.

Been suggested before, what happens if your medic squad dies? Then you are screwed. Also this is still a game, meaning we don't want to get TKed by some fool and then have to leave the round.

Yeah, I also believe a deadmatch game mode like counterstrike would be very nice with the PR gameplay. Every one would have only 1 life/round. Once they're dead, if not healed by medic, they must wait for the next round.

Then the maps will have to be EXTREMELY small, otherwise, why walk all the way across the map and get killed when you can just defend/camp your base until the enemy comes. Makes for absolutely boring gameplay.

Yeah, this mode would be better on small maps but I do not think it would be boring. Counter-strike isn't. Okay, CS is not a realistic mod but its deadmatch.

To me, 1 life/round is the best way to have people behave realisticly.

1 life per round?! lol

I reckon that would kill the MOD. I have said before, this is still a game, there has to be a line drawn somewhere when it comes to 'realism'. There needs to be a perfect blend or 'realism' and 'fun', and I would say its getting very close to that balance. 0.8 sounds like it could be the winner ;)

imagine if you slid down one of those annoying cliffs that a child could climb (but not a BF2 soldier apparently) and died at the bottom...then you have to wait an hour to rejoin?

smaller maps? dont you remember the awful gameplay of the 'street' map? PR needs BIG!

given the amount of time to load map and organise the team I wouldn't like this

Yes, its hyper realistic, but I got stuff to do IRL

No, that would mean I would be continuously changing servers and play alot less. :wink:

Only people will play realistically like that, if they are glued to their seat and can´t disconnect until the round finishes.

Not to mention , this is not realistic.. we don't represent the same soldiers when we respawn...

The way i like to see it is.. each player represents one squad , and each squad represents a platoon (i think thats the word) and then your team represents the whole regiment.

Dying and coming back represents more soldiers comming , NOT coming back to life..

I'm sorry but CounterStrike is almost incomparable to Pr in every sense for gameplay. The inside of a Kashan bunker is about the size of an entire level on CS for gods sake!

We all know that, thats why its called, reinforcement...

Now having 1 life/round would simply simulate no reinforcement! Orrrrr maybe could there be reinforcement by wave, 1-3 reinforcement wave in the entire round.

Having reinforcement every 30 seconds is not much more realistic...
