Post your least favorite equipment.

my least favorite are SLAM - too long arming time and not enough damage and Trip flares for when the enemy almost never goes that direction and won't give enough warning.

grapple hook, I don't like how it works, either it allows you to move around buildings that you couldnt enter and are pretty useless anyway, or it doesnt allow you to go up steep slopes.

I agree with the first, SLAMS are to underpowerd, though the long delay does benefit in a way. I put SLAMS under an abandoned enemy apc, a while later I watched an enemy soldier get into it just on detonation, luckily I put several slams.

I'd have to say AT mine. More friendlies drive over them more than enemies. Which is odd, as there is a huge red skull marker on the map, and people in vehicles have a minimap on the top right.

The best place for a mine is right near the enemy vehicle so they get in and die.

G3- I,in most cases would rather use a pistol. There needs to be a gun for CQB like the MP5 so I dont have to be a crew man, marksman, Grenadier or support gunner

I hate the irons sights on pistols(brit/US are ok) and their low damage, the MEC SF weapon is pretty horrible, 20 round submachine gun.

I love the mine, or more accurately I like being an engineer because of the mine. Of course like you I do not like the mine when you drive over, or team kill because of team "lack of attention to detail". I will try your suggestion of mine placement, I assume the vehicle is unmanned when placed?

I hate the shovel. I hate timing the mouse clicks to keep in time with the shovels movements. I know it is a necessary evil, with out the shovel we could not build or bury our sh*t.

Eh, you don't have to time your clicks to when your shovel moves? Don't you just hold it down like the wrench?
Mine though, pistols. I can never kill a damned thing with them...

I'm fairly sure that the MEC spec-ops kit is actually an Assualtish rifle.

The HK53A3 is classed as a compact assault rifle or assault carbine, similar to a sub-machine gun in size and rate of fire, but fires the 5.56mm round which is more commonly found in rifles. It is very accurate and lethal for such a compact weapon.

the knife. pretty much don't use it as rarely any situation calls for it except maybe knifing a civilian

The SLAM are not as rewarding as one would hope...

Yep, I booby trap an empty vehicle. I do my best to place it where they won't see it, and if time permits, I pretend to be the carefree Insurgent acting out which way would I go to enter the car.

It's also good not to place the mine on the vehicle, it will bounce and be obvious. You can remove it with your wrench and replace however.

You only need to hold down the fire button to build.

it is buged so it gets my vote best way to kill a civi is to throw a Molotov at him do it its a suicide and civis want to die they will let it kill them and type WTF, it counted as a suicide ! Molotov killing apc,tank, etc and counting as a suicide come on its got to be number! hated tool

My vote goes to the Trip Flare, totally useless...at least for me. Never been in a situation to use one or even seen one used in any game I've played.

a good use for trip flares, is put them on a 2 story building with stairs below you .. when it goes off it goes through the roof.. into your level.. giving you a warning
