Could PR borrow AAAV7 from POE mod?

Im looking forward to the map "operation barracuda" more than any other for the upcoming release because i think it fills a gap that is sorely needed in PR, a marine beach landing. {yes i know gulf of oman but its a crappy vanilla map} the only problem is currently the marines dont have a proper amphibious landing vehicle. the LAV is not meant to go into the ocean, only calm river/lake waters. and im assuming its the LAVs that will be landing the troops in barracuda. the marines will be using the expeditionary fighting vehicle in the near future, but im sure they will continue to use the AAAV7 for some time. so im curious, the Point of existance mod already has a lovely AAAV7 could PR maybe ask them to borrow it? i know they borrow from other mods, and this would be much easier than making a new one.

Yeah I don't like that about Jabal, it's not a bad idea.

We've asked for permission but at this time POE would like to keep their unique vehicle, which is very understandable considering the highly detailed work they have done on it.
Yes it would be awesome to get this vehicle into PR... for now we live with the vanilla LAV25 until we get some modern day USMC equipment.

Yeah they seem to not want to share much/any of their equipment to my knowledge. I assume the PR community has offered them things in return.

A "Slight" change of topic, but is this the same case with obtaining the vulcan and the Shilka from the USI mod team? I really want to see those in PR... or would they not fit gameplay...

AAV's ok and it's great in PoE; however, PR is based slightly in the future so EFV should be used (EFVs scheduled to be fielded by 2015)

i picture PR liek in the time peiod of 2011...but i still would like the AAv7.....it doesnt matter if its AAV7 or EFV as long as its a big armored amphibious bus

AAV's cool, but I don't know if the devs will go for, that was why I said EFV. EFVs a better vehicle, so it would be cooler; however, the AAV in PoE is great, the passenger area is more realistic than any other APC in any mod I've ever seen.

I'm sure it's very advanced, but does the EFV look like something an over the top WW1 tank design that never came to be to anyone else?

Not sure what's all fuss is about the AAV7.
- Would it be intresting to use? Yes.
- Would it make a nice realistic addition to PR? Yes.
- Would it be slightly better off than the Stryker and just as large of a target? Yes.
- Would it be better than the LAV-25? No.
- Would it perform well against enemy vehicles that are equal to an IFV or better? No.
Be warned. The AAV7 is a lightly armored vehicle, which is mostly made of aluminum and designed to float in tough sea current. It's also capable of providing minor fire support with the use of the MK19 40mm Grenade Launcher and the M2 .50cal. It's actually better armed than the upcoming Stryker.
However the purpose of this vehicle is to get mass amounts of troops on the shoreline swiftly. It has a rated troop capacity of 25 troops, which is no where near the maximum of 8 that the BF2 engine can handle.
Not only that, but AAV's are not a prime vehicle to spearhead a major assault on a contested beach head. As I would assume that Operation Barracuda and Jabal Al-Burj is probably similar in nature. You don't drive up into trouble with these vehicles, you take the path of least resistance instead to ensure the longevity of it's crew and passengers.
I happen to have an up to date and official U.S. training manual on the AAV's at hand. Although the majority of it is maintenance procedures, tactical data, safety and of course weapon data. I also happen to have a picture of a sight reticule if a referance is ever needed.
