im not sure if i saw correctly but now can you rank up and get stuff in unranked? i noticed people getting promoted and i got a few basic badges. maybe give me a link to a site that shows all this info.
also when i get promoted does it keep that rank for all unranked servers? or just that 1 server i got it in? Thanks for answering my questions later

What you saw was Alternative Battlefield Ranking, also known as ABR.

The rank is preserved across any servers that participate in ABR. ABR is currently in maintenance, though.

You can check out player stats here (for example): http://www.gloryhoundz.com/stats/ or in BFHQ if you use the ABR client.

Thats weird because I cannot find my tournament name...or anybody elses for that matter in gloryhoundz/stats.

oh cause i must of got atleast 300 pts so far but everytime i checkl it says "ID doesn't Exist". do i have to make a new name for PR ranking? cause this name i have right now is about 43,000 pts into REgular bf2 ranking .

No you don't have to make a new name. Your player Id will be recorded to a seperate server than the one ea uses to record your stats. your stats only when you play on the Project Reality mod will be recorded to abr. Then you just need to have the client from http://www.battlefieldranking.net/ this will make it so you can see your reality mod stats.

however the backend is currently in maintenance so you wont see any recordings right now.

Thanks Dedmon, im still a newbie because i just started like 3 days ago hehe =). I noticed since they can have stats on unranked, etc.etc. then the only reason for ranked bf2 server now is unlocks, makes me think if my clan should still have our ranked or just go for a unranked.

Once again I have one more question, Sorry dont mean to play the 20 questions game but it's the only way to stop being a newbie hehe

first question:So in order for ABR to start recording my PR stats i have to download a Client?

no its recording it (thats what satcom says) But its going through some maintenence.

The client is so you can see and hold your rank ingame.

The server records stats.

The client is only needed if you want to see stats in BFHQ.

ABR is crappy... When i used it, it made my vanilla stats disappear

They don't disappear. BFHQ just shows ABR stats.

When you launch BF2 without the ABR client, it'll show Vanilla stats.

FRITZ - - - I left this question on your WEB page BUT you probably to busy to have seen it....since it is related HERE.....will ask again. I am an ABR Client with Player Name and BF2 Acct Name: C-Hawker, so under that name I have been recording some stats etc.......BUT.......NOW, had to open NEW Acct. to Play in the Tournament so have a NEW Name.......is there some way I can continue to add my stats together OR CHANGE my OLD ACCT to my Newly named ACCT.????
