While playing PR I was thinking that it allready has maps from different scenarios: china&Iraq etc. Would it be possible to do couple vietnam war maps? There are lot of stuff allready done for it:all the asian scenery from fortified buildings to jungles. AK-47, RPG, PPSH, SVT, Huey, MH-6... Would just need player models and M16A1 and couple more US army &vietcong weapons and vehicles. It would be nice change for playing couple vietnam era maps once and while in server and I think PRMM style jungle maps fits fine for vietnam, patrolling through the jungle with all rallypoints and setting up firebases. I just ask to think about it!

This probably belongs in the Community Modding section.

The big issues would be creating another faction for both the US and the Vietcong. Can we do it, yes but it would take to much time. Plus most of the mod is based slightly in the future.

I would suggest if its something your interested in is look over at the community modding.

Theres already a mod for vietnam comflicts. I don't know the name but I know it's already been done on BF2.

I would help with models and such if it was Australians in Vietnam rather then the USA...

There is a new version coming out soon.

There should be populated servers after that release.

I played EOD in BF42 but the game system ain't good as PR, no rallypoints etc. it lacked the realism.

well ya it wasnt made by teh same people..not every game can be as uber 1337 as PR ...but me and some other people who play pr consider the second best mod out there...its pretty historically acurate compared to other mods..and the maps are pretty good

If it's just the jungle warfare you want, there is a Democratic Republic of Congo community mod up, which looks extremely exciting for jungle warfare if the mappers can pull it off

Yeah it really didn't feel at all finished when I tried it like 6 months ago or so, must have been a very early release.

Pretty good combat though, kinda semi-realistic similar to FH2 balance.
