vehicle ticket costs

On al basrah (and archer?) when you lose a scimmy, warrior or challenger your team gets a penalty in tickets, I would be interested in seeing this expanded to AAS mode, especially on maps like quinling and kashan as this would get the tank crews scared to hell about losing their tanks or get people to think twice about grabbing that APC that they don't really need.
Hopefully this would get more tanks to work together, especially with repair support rather than becoming static turrets someplace.
On a realism note, I guess its more realistic as well considering the amount of money and resources each tank/apc represents.

Basra is special though because you get 10 tickets every civ you knife and also other times. In a similar way, how do you suggest tickets be given back on aas maps

i heartily endorse the following thread, comment or bar mitzvar.
i imagine serious gamers would think more about their assests if this was inplace, however the team will lose tickets if n00bp1l0t25 leaves his throttle on in a jet/chopper
or drives a tank to the flag and gets out because "there was no transport"

Personally, I think it would be a bad idea. Its on Basrah essentially because its a balancing tool IIRC. IMO rounds would last far too long, and IMO losing assets like aircraft for huge ticket losses because of a PB error or a Server disco is a bad idea. I'd like to see it focus on deaths/bleed exclusively.

10 tickets lost per tank sounds good to me. Tickets do afterall represent reinforcements.

what about 5 for destroying a enemy tank or chopper exc.

It is a good thing in theory, but not many people will fear it, they will just continue doing the same without caring, people will get a lagspike and lose aircraft or even crash land them for example...

Yes at least recently respawn times have risen for the loss of a vehicle, usually I curse this in game but if anything if possible I'd like it extended so losing a vehicle had similar penalties to killing a civ maybe with no requested kit available for 12 mins or whatever.
Unfortunately this would most often apply to the poor sucker who was just riding in a vodnik, but considering how eager people are to crash every single lb on the deck of the carrier rather then practice first, it'd be an improvement overall

Loosing a vital asset and therefore the possibility to encounter the enemy should be loss enough.

Its the difference between pub play and organised games I think.
I liked it when pb kicked for losing a vehicle, at least at the map start but that is when it often matters most
Personal vs collective responsibility?
I think if you increase one then you must also raise the other. Thats how its worked so far in insurgency if Ive followed the rule changes right

Also it seems only active vehicles should get a ticket drop so that camping a base's spawns doesn't yield a huge amount of ticket loss. Kashan's outposts also present a problem if unmanned vehicles cause a ticket loss, then again maybe it would reward teams that build bunkers to get the vehicles moving out. The ticket loss/gain could possibly replace the need for ticket bleed.

this won't work for pub games. No one will be any more scared of losing their vehicle then they normally are and it will result in rounds of about 10 sec when someone decides to destroy all the vehicles at the outpost on kashan for example.
It isn't very realistic either since if the tickets represent reinforcements this will mean that for every tank you lose you also lose a reinforcing tank, now how does that make sense?
