[Help] Weird Terrain Shadows

Anybody know how to fix this? In both editor and in-game I get these weird shadows that follow the height of the terrain and also overtake the fog. The weird part is that I haven't generated my Primary terrain shadows yet. So to fix this I tried generating completely new textures and that didn't seem to help so I'm kind of lost.

hummm, may be down to your low detail, or could be down to your detail texture thou dont think its the detail cos it continuses off the map, you using a custom low detail or any low detail texture?

I am using the default lowdetailtexture that comes with the editor

dont look like it, try searching on the bf editor forums for black terrain.

Ahh thanks Rhino, after doing some more searching over there I decided to check all my textures. Turns out I was missing a few LowDetailTextures. Silly me

Paint your colormaps with 'colortiling' 0/0

Hans Martin Slayer gave me this advice once and it improved my maps a lot.

While some textures look good with the 1/1 others are best if you use 0/0
