Were all restless and in desperate need of this new patch. So let's all try take our minds off it with a pedantic discussion about whether this will be the best and biggest thing to happen to PR to date. In my opinion .5 was a massive step forward, and the largest in my opinion in terms of content and gameplay changes to date. But the sheer build up of gameplay modifications, models, videos, s, and just plenty of good old fashioned stuff, I'm putting money on it being the most awesome update so far.

I voted yes,but 0.8 was going to be full release and not patch right?

We would never tell, as soon we click PR_0.8.exe our computers gonna explode. Big Bang.

They seem to be referred to as patches all the time, nevermind, if there's a mod as pedantic as me maybe he can change it?

ye, patch is the wrong word here, its "Will .8 be the biggest PR release ever?" would be more on track... think ill edit the title of this topic.

Wow, I chose a great time to return to BF2 and PR. Soon as I find the patch notes ...

Wish I had a better computer though, my graphics are still gonna be ****.

Edit - Oh I see it!

With all the new animations, which will affect every class in game, and further changes to various kits i think this will be the release that as soon as you boot up you will notice the huge difference. Not to mention some new vehicles for various factions and the re-skinning of other vehicles.

Also with a few epic maps coming(muttrah v2, Korengal Valley) i think this will be the release with so much things visually new that it will definitely seem like the biggest release so far.

Hurry up so I don't have to speculate.

I will say it will be much bigger than .6 and .7 combined... but .5... only reason i think so is

look at it this way

1. New animations- Something thats a REALLY big milestone for PR. It gives them MUCH more freedom to do things. Maybe they'll even make it so that you actually SWITCH seats, not just randomly poof

2. New sights + new sight Animations= Different way to get involved. Shooting isn't just about shooting. It's making sure you're prepared to shoot. Will make attacking much more difficult as the defenders will have the advantage of already being prone and having their weapons completely ready.

3. New medic- No more "Run and save everyone you see". Sometimes you'll have to skip the trap and let someone go. There's no point risking your lives for the sake of the mission. Now if only they had a drag body option, where you could run out, grab someone, bring them back, and heal them.

4. Muttrah... V2... o.o Big Urban map next to the sea...

5. Great new assets. Locked gates, deployable Machine Guns, new planes, new plane ordinances, new vehicles, and you no longer MUST have a commander.

6. (so no one asks me "Why didn't you include it" but i honestly don't care, and i doubt (know) it's not going to be their) The all amazing and all knowing fastropes!(not really)
