TG recently rotated Hills of Hamgyong into their map list, twice, and many of us moaned and groaned. During the first round, we were USMC and got our butts handed to us, as expected, the next round, we all looked forward to bloody revenge, so we set ourselves up and aimed down the slope and something very unexpected happened, two full squads got blown away in the space of a few seconds, I was included, and someone started screaming about Artillery. Now I've seen the howitzers at the rear of the US staging area, and this has happened to me more than once, but do they actually work or are we delusional? I didn't know if this was the right place to post this, but it's the only place I could think of.

I love that map...but no1 ever plays it, all those underground bunkery things are great!

I think the map is being removed in 0.8. It's also bugged.

I didn't think that ammo worked - at least not since 0.5 .... ?

have i missed something?

Chinese get new JDAM every 2mn or something (I dunno about american though), so you can request them via "need area attack" as often as you want (if you have a commander).

Glad to see it will be remove for 0.8, I really hate this map.

Hm, i went commander as chinese on this same round, thinking about these JDAM, but didnt found them. No artillery available for chinese, and US artillery was the old vanilla one.

Note the map version was Hamgyong 16 players.

The JDAM is probably in 64p ^^

Always hated that map..

I played that map recently, and it was really fun . Sure the US (and me) were all massacred, but we were annihilated in style. We epically charged up the hills amidst snipers, JDAM's, and Grenades. 64 player map version.


We never even got near a single flag .

I personally loved that map.

YEAH! Too bad it will go out in .8 (I think) We need a map like it that is just as epic. But with some tanks to break out of main . Or 7 A-10 Warthogs

i agree, best map out atm, if youre like me and you like large infantry battles

Hills of Hamgyong has got to be the greatest infantry battle map we have available! People don't want to play it simply because they are unorganized.

I have never experienced a more satisfying victory than being bled down to 60 points, only to drive the Chinese back and pull out a 10-0 win!

Why o why must we keep getting the best maps for players taken away?!?

I had my best round of commander on that map. Half I was squadleader, half I was commander. I think that was around the time my clan started taking an interest in me.

It is an epic map for infantry.
