The MEC Engineer should use the Saiga-12 to be more authentic.

Authentic? To what?

MEC is a fictional faction created by EA for BF2. Basically none of the MEC kits are authentic since there is nothing to model them off anyway.

Uhuh... Plus Shotguns in generaly aren't used by tank or other armoured crews. To my knoledge at least. Carbines and SMGs are usual loadouts.

making a thread with a single sentence without explaining isn't a good idea anyway, so, simply close it

Shotgun, automatic, its just used for breaching in PR, its not a combat weapon

The only faction that should be rocking Saiga-12s are the Russians.

Authentic as in almost matching BF2 kits. Would be cool in future releases if you can see the goggles of troops if they are wearing, something like republic commando where you can see the shape of the visor.

Well i think it doesnt fit when the mec, using mainly russian weapons uses the chinese shotgun instead.

mec are using German weapons and Russian vehicles mate.
shotguns are also not very useful in PR and are generic.

What about a 40mm breaching round for the HK79 UGL? The US Navy seems interested in such ordinance (Source: https://www.fbo.gov/index?tab=core&s=op ... 7a645b0d90)

Indeed, though the shotty is a Norinco NOR-982, thats actually a copy of the Remmington M870 which is pretty much as generic as pump actions get.

But if you insist on having a shotgun that fits in with the rest of the MEC's H&K weapons I say we give them the CAWS! :p

Anyway, Not happening. Locked.
