Looks like the side panels should be shorter, but the length of the vest itself is good.
The Army Flickr page has lots of good pics I'm sure you could use, if you didn't see them already:

Those look good so far man, perhaps if they get good enough (and its possible) they could replace the vbf2 models? It looks like allot of vbf2 stuff is being phased out to me anyways...

I love the work your doing here. Very original idea and if done right, will be made of win.

Maybe we can get a army grunt in here to help him out? Where is kenway when you need him ;)

Looks like you could extend the groin protector down a bit, like in this picture:

EDIT:

You might also want to extend the side panels more in front, because the front panes actually go over the side panels when it's worn. Check these videos:

you still have a problem with poly distrubution :)

how big is the helmet? how many polys does it have?

now compare that to the vest.

How big is that, and how many polys does that one have?

I know, I thought you were going to take care of that when I'm done.

The head looks just a little bit too small in comparison to the vest, imo :)

Rofl <3

So you think I'm just going to take care of it all for you huh? :P

Well, I'm stepping back from a few places atm, so I guess I can fix up your kit geometry and throw it in PR afterwards ;)

Let me clarify that this is just the standard BF2 USMC Light player model, I am creating new kit geometry for the model.
Once again, if there's a piece of kit you think belongs w/ the US Army players, tell me and I'll look into modelling it on one of the kits.
